Spurs have even less chance of getting him than us
Based on?Spurs have even less chance of getting him than us
Global appeal, history, stadium, revenue. I very much doubt he'd want to leave Atletico anyway.Based on?
its a sad day when we fall behind Spurs when it comes to agents linking people to clubs to get a new contractSo Spurs are in for him now. Wonderful!
About to move into a new stadium as well (and they could be CL winners in a few days)Griezmann will be next.
Atleti are on the same level as Madrid, Barca & Bayern for me, I don't see why any of their players would willingly leave. And this isn't Football Manager.
On the field yes, off the field they are not even close, Atletico doesn't have anywhere near the economic muscles of those three.Griezmann will be next.

As long as Simeone stays there (and he seems happy) then I can see them keeping the squad together for at least a few years (who knows longer than that in football but certainly I dont envisage a mass exodus)

Given some of the deals for young players at the moment that sounds low... anyway he passes forwards and dribbles to well for LVG so its probably best we missed out
He could easily have passed that sidewards and he never even once looked back for the easy ball - such a risk with possession - not an LVG type player
can play there - but Id say more of a CM than a DM - he has also played a fair few games wide (though with the Athletico set up that still sees him operate centrally quite a bit)He's a DM right?

the Calderon site must be worth a fair bit as well (not sure if they own the land?) but its fairly central in Madrid so if they can sell that then that will surely offset a chunk of the new stadium costs as well as the new place is quite a way out of the city up by the airportThat is true. But Atletico are going to be relatively strong financially going forward due to the new La Liga TV deal and their new stadium, which will have much more capacity than the Cslderon. They still won't be close to Barca or Real in terms of revenues but they'll have the money to pay big wages to a few stars and won't be the same selling club they've been in the past.
Didnt he just sign a new deal?

Absolute bollocks. If we were serious about signing him and he was about joining then we would have made contact before now, meaning there would be no logic in him bumping up his own release clause by £15-20m. He'll stay at Atletico.

Herrera didn't.I believe Nani and Herrera did something similar.
