One of my all time favourite United players. Hope he does well.
But but he’s an ex-player!
Snigger. Let’s see how many question his experienceAn ex striker who has done well with their reserves.
It will end in tears.
I know you're kidding, but Van Nistelrooij has actually been very careful about his coaching career. He has been assistant for the Dutch national team and was a coach for PSV's youth teams, and is currently coaching their reserves (who play in the Dutch second tier). He also initially rejected the offer to become head coach as he felt he wasn't ready for that job; but after a lot of insistence from PSV management, including by their new CEO Marcel Brands (that's the job he got after leaving the Everton DOF position), he now did accept the job. So there is really no entitlement here. But but he’s an ex-player!
Ruud aan het stuur.Ruud zit aan het stuur!
I read a bit about the highlighted part and how he rejected them twice before. And the assistant manager will be an experienced one, at his request. What style of football has he played with the reserves and youth teams?I know you're kidding, but Van Nistelrooij has actually been very careful about his coaching career. In any case, I hope he does well, always liked him as a player and person. (Of course he's likeable, he's from my home region. )
Ruud aan het stuur.
Makes more sense in Dutch and sounds better. Win-win-win. (Three times cause it's Ruud.)
Darwin often operates in a wider left position than Ruud did. That said I’m very excited about him and I’m hoping Liverpool don’t sign him (even if I think he’s a little raw still )Is Darwin Nunez the modern day Ruud?? Has their been any strikingly similar player to Ruud at all??
Loved RVN!!
Uhm, can someone tell me why this is happening? Last i've looked, PSV are doing very well, could even snatch the title from Ajax.
I'm aware its from next season, but this still doesn't make much sense to me, usually these type of appointments doesn't happen when things go well, seems like a gamble when PSV already have a rather complete team, one would think a more experienced manager would be wise.
I was joking, but in fact ole had more experience than the level Ruud is at now. I’m just waiting to see the hypocrisy in work from various posters.I know you're kidding, but Van Nistelrooij has actually been very careful about his coaching career. I was just wondering recently what happened to him. Never seen ot heard of him once since he retired, had no idea he was coaching.
Antonio Valencia is another that seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth, along with Veron.

i do off course wish Ruud well
If it was a shittier league, like the Bayern Munich Perennial Championship, I’d agreeUnited are way higher up in the food chain than PSV and can afford to buy established coaches, whereas a club like PSV usually has to take a gamble on an up and comer or settle for someone who experienced a setback or two at a bigger club. The situations don't compare!?

Yeah, true. It's funny how that works. I'm just trying to defend Van Nistelrooij, cause it seems like he shared your opinion (except he wasn't joking about it ) until he got talked into doing this.I was joking, but in fact ole had more experience than the level Ruud is at now. I have no idea, I don't follow Jong PSV (their second-tier team) at all. I saw somewhere that he plays an attacking 4-3-3, but that's all. Maybe my go-to PSV fan, @Eendracht maakt macht (sorry for all the tags ), knows more.I read a bit about the highlighted part and how he rejected them twice before. And the assistant manager will be an experienced one, at his request. What style of football has he played with the reserves and youth teams?
He probably watched how ole got butchered at United. If Ruud isn’t successful he might decide management is not for him.Yeah, true. It's funny how that works. From a Dutch article I just saw (NRC): "That I take things more slowly, is no guarantee that things will go well."
