Russian invasion of Ukraine | Fewer tweets, more discussion

Russia is exercising its power across the Black Sea and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
I’m a Brit. I love the fecking craic, so on and so forth…

You can’t tell me Russia hasn’t absolutely made
Its power known.

Germany does not care about Ukraine. Or Poland. Or the Baltic countries. They can all be given to Russia. Germany only cares about Germany and the economy. Everyone else can do whatever, they don't care how many people die or are sent to Siberia. Germany wants the war to finish quickly, so that they can return to a profitable relationship with Russia, which has been their goal in the past two months.
We get it, you hate Germany. It becomes a bit tiresome by now that you always talk in absolutes. I don't know why you feel such hate against all of us, but I have to say it starts to become insulting what you are doing here.

It's power in the Black Sea is currently underwater. A Ukrainian 'cultural heritage site', apparently.

I can tell you Russia has made the incompetence of it's armed forces and the government they answer to very well known indeed. I doubt I'm alone in being surprised by just how shit they have proved to be.

Whatever happens in Ukraine Russia will have goaded it's perceived enemies into increasing military spending to a level with which it cannot possibly compete.

What Russia has made known is its barbarity, its cruelty, its lack of any and all morals, its deceit, and its hollow vanity.

As for its "power", its military is currently getting battered beyond repair by Ukraine, its Black Sea flagship was sunk by a nation without a navy, and its economy is on course to become smaller than that of Holland.

Russia's status will soon be not too dissimilar from that of North Korea - isolated, cut off from the global internet, its technological base collapsing, its infrastructure crumbling, its brightest and best people having fled overseas if they can, its international status that of a pariah, prison-state.

They also permanently occupied the bottom of the black sea. Definitely made their power known. It will be remembered as a museum site as well.

Ah here it is. The I'm a brit card but I love the craic. Your post is as embarrassing as the Russian army performance. You are very transparent by the way.

Sounds like we gouged ourselves into stupid shit. I’m certainly not responsible for it.

Proof please mate.

Absolutely. Is there anyone in this thread that needs updating? Russia are blocking off the Azov sea for strategic purposes.

Okay then. On a grand scheme of things, that Russian warship being sank is like few iskander missiles being sank. Moskva is not the Russian navy.
It's just the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, no biggie.

Most probably the biggest single loss of casualties in the war so far, and Russian flagship warship in the Black Sea.

In terms of Russian dominance. The majority of Russian generals have now been killed and the Russian advance has been pushed back to the Donbas region, where they are making little progress.
In terms of proof of the lack of morals within the Russian army, take a look at the reports emerging from those areas Russia were forced to retreat from where there's mass graves of civilians and numerous reports or rape, torture and indiscriminate killings.

What is the point you're trying to make?

Holy feck would you let us lose wW2 properly..
Please..
Haha

A metaphor. Surely you could see that Russian fleet moved beyond 70/80’s

Russia's military hasn't moved past the 80's, let's be honest here.

The only thing that have that's good and modern are missiles, of which they will have difficulty replacing soon because sanctions.

Time to bring out the rock catapults.

The Russian government repeatedly lied about having no intention of invading further into Ukraine, and then it did precisely that.

As for the rest, the proof is available in countless news reports from many different media sources. No doubt you prefer to believe the Russian media - all state-controlled. Just as you no doubt prefer to live in West and enjoy its freedoms, all whilst admiring Putin's tyranny from afar.

That’s a bare faced lie. Like Russia wanted incursion into Ukraine?! Okay give it to me how.

- Violation of an international treaty in the 1994 Bucharest Agreement
- Waging an aggressive and unprovoked war
- Violating of the UN Charter
- Deliberate targeting of civilians
- Use of cluster munitions in civilian areas
- Targeting civilians in agreed humanitarian corridors
- Mass murder of civilians
- Covering up the mass murder of civilians
- Rapes of civilians by soldiers of the invading army
- Numerous breaches of the Geneva Conventions
- Press-ganging Ukrainian civilians into military service
- Forced deportations of thousands Ukrainian civilians and forcing them to stay in Russia for two years
- Forcing Ukrainian children to learn Russian after deporting them into Russia
- Oh and a massive repression of Russian civilians, free press and free society

That's off the top of my head. What have I missed?

You're an embarassment. Talking like this about an unjust war that has already killed thousands of innocent civilians,

Watch the many interviews given, or public statements made, by Russian officials in the weeks and days preceding Feb. 24th. They're all on the internet. They repeatedly said no invasion was planned or would happen.

Or else do us all favour and emigrate to Putin-land.

And endless intelligence briefings from the UK and US, amongst others, which predicted the invasion and were proved right.
