Presidents have been halting deliveries of military aid all the time. Nobody has been impeached for this. The particular reason Trump got impeached was because he requested Zelensky come up with dirt against Biden (or his son).
You don‘t get it, it is cutting off the military assistance that made it a quid pro quo.

This aid was approved by congress, and stopping it is unlawful.

Maybe Raoul was right all along, it's the larger and stronger states that make the calls and the smaller less powerful ones can do little about it.

Whilst i don't agree with the premise in principle as it's unjust as feck, imo the world would be the better off being multi polar rather than one hegemon which clearly cannot be just.

Zelenskyy is doing the smart thing and putting his country before his pride. He shouldnt have to beg or play nice with Trump. He shouldnt have to apologise for doing absolutely nothing wrong. But better to have a chance at helping Ukraine than to simply "be right", sickening as it is.

I expect in London the other day the European leaders told him that Europe simply isnt equipped to step in and fill the void immediately, so basically buy as much time as possible with the US. Once Europe is starting to look a bit more self sufficient there will be no need to play nice and suck up anymore.

You need to get off this unlawful track, that is not the true, Congress approved funding but they didn't specifiy when it had to be used, it probably didn't even specifiy on what either

Of course it was. Trump was threatening to withhold the weapons, that‘s illegal.

He could be impeached right now for doing the same.

Deputy head of Ukrainian military intelligence said they estimate Russia to have 620,000 ground troops in Ukraine and Kursk region, of which 200,000 are assault units. He also says Russia plans on recruiting 343,000 contract soldiers in 2025 but noted that Russia recruited more soldiers in previous years than was initially planned. He says Russia planned to recruit 375,000-380,000 soldiers in 2024 but ultimately recruited 440,000.

Ukraine itself (according to Zelensky) has almost 900,000 personnel in its military but cannot replenish its losses as much as Russia can for obvious reasons.

Don't misread it, saying he's ready to work under Trump's 'strong leadership' is not new, but the "to get a peace that lasts" rules out anything Trump/Putin will actually agree to.

He's just doing the diplomacy thing, costs nothing.

Yes, I‘d also say it helps to avoid being framed as someone who isn‘t really interested in ending the war asap. Which at least tries to help keeping those poisoneous fake narratives / putin propaganda a little bit in check.
