Imagine that, Trump also making a deal with Russia for minerals on occupied Ukrainian land. Basically funding the next attack on Ukraine, with resources stolen from them from the previous attack.

Zelensky should seriously consider postponing signing this deal until the terms of the peace negotiations become more clear.
Not sure Zelensky has much choice he's dealing with a bully that has them by the balls. This is just 21st century version of colonial resource grabbing.

Historically they didn’t donate billions to help those colonies defend themselves to be fair. We should stop polarizing things and be more open to both sides of the argument generally, imo.

Fair point, i guess it depends on the terms the money was given, also the money wasn't purely given for altruistic reasons either, the US and Europe has it's own geopolitical interests they are looking after here too which they are benefitting from.

True, there would certainly be some serious effects from not signing the deal, threats of cutting of Starlink and probably stopping other aid as well. And I think the European countries will want to see this deal done to keep the US happy - they're not ready to support Ukraine without US backing. Zelensky is in a very difficult place here.
