Probably better for the Irish, I'd still say Ireland have a better chance against Argentina than France, so France dropping points is a good thing. Although if France are this badly organised, and making this many errors in all their games, Namibia might fancy themselves...

They have only one point now with the score difference of 5 points, they won't finish top of the group and might face the All Blacks if they qualify.
But Argentina showed a great spirit !
 
Cracking match, we have a tournament! Danger with these things, especially the Rugby world cup with relatively few top notch competitive sides, is that the favourites cruise through, and the thing doesn't get going til the semi's, by which time the tournament is already something of an anti-climax. But this changes all that!

In my view, a horrific result for the Irish too. I can't see the French being that bad again, you'd still have to back them to go through, so if the Irish lose that match up, they have to beat the Argies just to have a chance of going through, and even that might not be enough. Could all come down to the bonus points, one of which at least the French did pick up tonight, so victory against the Irish should pretty much still put them through
 
Good result for the Argies. Bet the French didn't expect that. Their match against Ireland would seriously be a cracking match.

Can't wait for the All Blacks game.
 
doesnt really affect ireland, only that our destiny is firmly in our own hands now.....

actually this is a good result for ireland, 20 mins into the french game if we're ahead, the french will crumble like a dried croissant......

Hmm. Your destiny was in your own hands before tonight too. Only now you could beat Argentina, and it still not be enough to qualify. Before if France beat the Argies, and you beat them, it's a simple group. Not now, it's up for grabs. Bad result for Ireland, especially with France still gaining a bonus point

Flip side of that for us though is that just as the french wont be that bad again it might be difficult for the Argies to be that good again. Well thats what Im telling myself anyway....Double edged sword for us, France will now come out even harder agianst us.

yes, point taken about bonus points, but ireland are well cpable of picking up 4 bonus points out of our 4 matches, thus putting us ahead of the argentinians by 1 point, assuming we loose a game.......

so its not a bad result for us at all.
 
Argentina are never really given the respect they're owed.

They can play a bit, and on top of that, they're a bunch of proper hard nasty cnuts, even for Rugby players. How many tackles did they miss during that entire game? probably about two.

For some reason they're always viewed as being a bit of a pushover, despite quite obviously not being
 
I was amazed with how well organized Argentina were yesterday.

During the 2nd half France really put them under pressure but the Argies managed to defend their lead. My favourite moment of the match was during the 2nd half when a maul was formed and the french pushed forward from the half line almost to score a try but the Argies stopped them.
 
I feel sorry for the Italian players right now, the All Blacks are leading 38-0 after 19 minutes.

Awesome stuff from the All-blacks. Italy could never come back after that awful start and I'm sure they will play better as the tournament progresses.
