Rugby Union - Summer internationals 2016

Minute to go in Melbourne and I'm gonna say Zero from 2 now  Think you've got the last one right … just!
I have two teams when it comes to Rugby: Australia and whoever plays New Zealand. My comment about Wales winning was hope, not belief.

Being English I'm familiar with facing that sentiment but don't subscribe to it. No harm meant and I hope there was no offence taken. The fact that we've never won a test on Australian soil before is an outstanding stat!

proper shithouse tactic that. deserves a lengthy ban.

Oh this is beautiful.

Also, Hooper wtf? That's a new one.

Also2 Itoje has never lost a game of (professional) rugby. Wow.

Can't stand Hooper and what he did was childish and stupid. If he's banned, i won't care. He's not a number 7 at all, has no physical presence in the forwards and should be a back, not a loose forward.

Add to that European player of the year, a Grand Slam, European & domestic double. Series win in Oz. Been a good year. Considering the year before he captain England to u20s world cup and Saracens to the LV trophy at 19.
Bloody hell, not bad.

That good enough for you, @SqueakyWeasel?

None taken, and fair play to England to win a test series in Australia for the first time. England dominated AUS physically and forced an incredible amount of errors. Amazing what hiring Aussie coaches has done for English sport.

Ireland to embarass South Africa again.

It'll be a dull Rugby Championship this year with an unstoppable NZ side and three poor sides.
South Africa really don't help themselves - wrong coach, poor coach and a quota system that'll bite them on the arse. With Allister Cootzee in charge, they'll struggle to beat well coached teams.

Yes.

Unlike Pieter Dr Villiers this will be a disaster. Can't see him getting to 2019.

It could be back to the days of thrashings at the hands of the All Blacks, both home and away.

Not sure what you mean? I even took the piss out of my own comment right there in the post so I was clearly saying that it was an impressive achievement even though what you wrote is not an accurate statement.
Chill, I got that. I'm joking too

South Africa are pathetically stupid. Ireland have had to do very little so far aside from rely on SA incompetence.

Hopefully Wales cane beat New Zealand, Australia to beat England just and South Africa will bounce back at Ellis Park vs Ireland. Wallabies will need to play for the full 80 this time and the Boks will need to improve massively in Johannesburg.
You should have added Belgium to that list then maybe we would have had a chance.

Ireland are 40 minutes from history after another very good half of rugby.

Stop stealing our thunder, Ireland.

(I hope you do it though)

It'll be bring back Heyneke Meyer soon the way the Boks are going. I really wish Jean De Villiers would stop calling the Boks ''we'' on commentary.

Heynecke Meyer's stock is at an all time low too.

Plus he plays terrible rugby too.

S.A. are in for a tough few years. Maybe Ackerman from the Lions ,but there is a genuine lack of good candidates.

Ah man, what an awful afternoon... Ireland, Ireland and then Iceland :( Absolutely gutted, but still had great craic.

All out for the series win next weekend at sea level. It would rate with any Irish achievement over the past few years.

Interesting fact: Jerome Garces has sin binned an all black for the third game running. He sin binned Sam Whitelock in Johannesburg vs South Africa, Jerome Kaino in the World Cup semi vs South Africa and now Sam Kane vs Wales in Dunedin. Very refreshing to see a ref treat 7 black as just another player on the field, not god and Jesus Christ rolled into one.

All blacks near certainties to win the series 3-0 now. England to beat Australia :( And the Boks to beat Ireland unconvincingly and unimpressively.

feck wales, hope they get battered.

Game between S.A. and Ireland is at sea level,so Ireland have a great chance.

Boks have tradionally played very well in Port Elizabeth and played their best half of rugby in the second half last week for the series. It's a tight call though.

You could argue that Ireland crumbled in the second half because of Altitude.

The boks have comprehensively lost 3 of the 4 halves so far. So Ireland have reasonable cause for optimism. Can also see Australia salvaging some pride against England .

Nigel Owens missed a chance to remind Nick Phipps "this is not soccer" after Phipps asked for a yellow card.

No dead rubber this - superb test match. Australian pride on the line so this second 40 is going to be brutal. Too close to call
