You know what, I thought about it as I typed….but I think France need a win over the boks before they can claim that title. When was the last time France beat them?

2009? Some drunk dude butchered the South African anthem that day.

Well done to France on a first grand slam in 12 years. I expected them to stuff it up at some point and they proved me wrong. There are definite positives for Ireland - one result cost them the tournament. Having questioned Italy's worth in the tournament, I'm delighted for them to pick up their first 6 Nations win since 2015.

Where to though for England? I think the milk has gone stale with Aussie Eddie and England need to think about moving him on

Too stubborn for my liking, time for him to be moved on. Our forward play has been decent to watch but I don't feel like he's ever got the backs playing with any fluidity. It crash ball Man Utd is available (more often than not) I don't see a viable plan B. Marchart, Slade, Daly and even Farrell when played at centre just don't seem to have a sustained impact on the game. Look at the other nations and the back lines they have and how they contribute. Aki for Ireland, Harris for Scotland, Watkin for Wales all seem to be more involved in their teams general play.

When you look at the pool of players we have available, Eddie should have done more. A WC final we never looked like winning hasn't papered over several poor 6 nations in a row.

I honestly think that it came down to the draw, France was obviously more favourable than Ireland's this year but that's just the way it is. They are 2 very good sides and fancy them both to go far in the world cup

Yeah I’d like to see change. I’m just convinced there are shirt numbers that go higher than 12. I’m sure Eddie isn’t.
Nah being serious he’s been pretty good for us but it does need a freshen up, there’s a shitload of exciting players coming through and a good ‘solid’ core….I quite fancy giving Baxter a go but I think I’m in the minority there

During the 2nd half of the Super Rugby Pacific match between the Highlanders and the Blues, Dutch born 2nd rower Fabian Holland came on as a replacement. The amusing part of this came when commentator Grant Nisbett revealed that Fabian Holland learnt English by listening to Justin Marshall's commentary. A rather flattered Marshall went on to say Holland didn't exactly learn the Queen's English.

The sooner the van grann era is over the better, it’s constantly scared rugby when it comes to the top teams, the worrying thing is no one is being linked with the job yet.

on another thing carbery for me isn’t even the best 10 in the Provence no mind being Ireland’s next 10, Healy is currently operating better than him as a 10 and Crowley is getting there.

also @unchanged_lineup is Connaughts green always this blue, it’s pretty hard on the eyes tonight

Yeah these colours are brutal together.

This ref has been really good in terms of ending advantages very quickly, although that cost Leinster at the end

This two leg thing is so strange, so if you are down 4 at the end & get a penalty do you just kick it to reduce the gap rather than win the game

Two huge knock ons that the referees somehow missed.

France dominating Scotland or the MHR dominating the Harlequins?
Montpellier wrecking Quins was what I was referring to. Forgotten Englishman Zach Mercer leading the charge as well to take the piss even further. Just read that he grew up playing his rugby at Old Brodelians in Leeds….my sons team played against them a few months ago
