Pogue Mahone
Closet Gooner.
50:22 is such a great addition to the game.
Why did Tonga get the put in at a scrum from their forward pass?
The 60 seconds penalty shot clock looked like it had elapsed there? Sexton clearly strikes that ball after the timer.

Connacht's Mack Hansen50:22 is such a great addition to the game.
Nobody on comms seemed to mind. Weird.
Felt like I was going mad. Wtf?!?
I'm not 100% on the subtleties of the rules, but that time I was baffled.

If it's around the first minute, an irish player dropped the ball when he went to the ground and a tongian dropped it when he tried to gain possession.
@moses I’ve decided this ref is bent
It's been this way for years. That Irish line out…I thought the thrower had to be in the middle? He was basically throwing it in line with his team.
It was a Tongan forward pass that stopped play. Had the knock on happened just before that?
You're not allowed say stuff like that these days. #poguenotwoke
I always think O Mahony would make a great Roy Keane replacement for United.
Yeah, there is an knock on from Ireland when the player goes to the ground, tha's how Tonga gained possession.
Has it?? I don’t think it has. Scrums yes, but not lineouts, at least not so obviously. Maybe it’s been more subtle and I didn’t see before. It's been this way for years.
I'm pretty sure I first noticed it years agoHas it?? I don’t think it has. Scrums yes, but not lineouts, at least not so obviously. Maybe it’s been more subtle and I didn’t see before.

That was a very slick try
Mad the way VAR is infinitely less annoying in rugby than football. Even when it goes against you. I guess it just suits some sports better than others.
Yeah that’s fine, but it was the position of the whole Irish line was right up in line with the thrower. Dunno, maybe it was the angle, but it struck me as looking odd, will keep an eye out for other lineouts later on.It is supposed to be in the channel even if it's slightly toward your jumper.
Back when you could say stuff like that it would have actually been an accurate (if politically incorrect) description of one of the best referees in the game.
Yep, it's been pretty worrying for the last few matchesSo pleasing to see our line out looking good again.
