I missed this, unlucky there young Boothy - as usual you just weren't good enough.
So it's the big one this Saturday at Old Trafford Saint vs Leeds. They've turned us over the last couple of times and so you'd have to say we go into the game as slight underdogs. Both teams it seems are at full strength and so it promises to be a cracking game.
My wory as a Saints fan is the size of the pitch at OT and Leeds beating us for speed on the outside. Hopefully we'll be prepared for this but it's just a niggling concern.
One thing that can be expected is a bruiser of a match, and blood will be spilt. There is no love lost between the two teams and in the last match it got very tasty indeed. Saturday I think will see a dust up or two, especially in nob head Senior decides to throw his toys out of the pram again.
Should be a good game and here's hoping to a Saints victory!!!

rugby League, my team Saints, knocked Wigan out in the semi last weekend. Boothy supports Wigan.
It's the final tomorrow - bound to be a dust up or two so i'd recommend watching it and familiarising yourself with the wonderful game that is Rugby League

I was doing, but sold my tickets during the week when i didn't think i'd be up for going.

It did look like a dodgy one, though I think Eastmond knocked on for his try and I think Leeds would have got the better of Saints anyway.

as my future father in law is a former wigan player I have to say thank feck leeds won, lesser of two evils especially after gansons performance last week.
But i do have to say that saints were screwed by the video ref, I dont have a clue as to how that decision came about. Cracking game none the less,

As others have said, it was a ludicrous decision for the last try - I had about six texts within a minute all basically saying "how could he give that?". Maybe Leeds just about shaded though.
The game itself reminded me of a typical United v Chelsea match in that neither side could afford to give an inch and it tended to thwart the skill side of the game - great defences but very little flair for teams of that calibre.

You're right mate. The newspapers I saw today allocated far more prominence to that dire game between England and Argentina yesterday than they did to the England v Aussies RL game. The difference in quality and intensity were chalk and cheese in my opinion.
