Rugby 5 Nations 2011

England win but were very poor Scotland were very good unlucky today. The win almost gives England the championship with the points difference they have 45 point ahead of Wales. Means England will have to lose by allot in Irelend although I think we will get beat by the Irish won't be by much also Wales have to beat France in Paris by a large margin aswell which won't happen.

It'll be close between Ireland and England anyway, could go either way. Quality wise England are far better. But Ireland are not going to make it easy.

Banahan will replace Mike Tindall for the game but other then that England unchanged.

England team to face Ireland:

Ben Foden, Chris Ashton, Matt Banahan, Shontayne Hape, Mark Cueto, Toby Flood, Ben Youngs, Nick Easter (c), James Haskell, Tom Wood, Tom Palmer, Louis Deacon, Dan Cole, Dylan Hartley, Alex Corbisiero.

Irelands team

15-Keith Earls, 14-Tommy Bowe, 13-Brian O'Driscoll (captain), 12-Gordon D'Arcy, 11-Andrew Trimble, 10-Jonathan Sexton, 9-Eoin Reddan; 1-Cian Healy, 2-Rory Best, 3-Mike Ross, 4-Donncha O'Callaghan, 5-Paul O'Connell, 6-Sean O'Brien, 7-David Wallace, 8-Jamie Heaslip.

Sexton to start at 10 against England. It beggars belief. Kidney is really fecking things up here. Reddan in for Stringer as well, so we go from one of the fastest deliveries in the game to one of the slowest.

The back three looks a bit better with Fitzgerald dropped and Earls at 15 and Trimble in on the wing.

Cannot believe Sexton is in ahead of O'Gara. Especially after that performance against the Welsh.

Sexton is the future no doubt, but he clearly struggles with nerves and confidence and is not ready yet.

Ireland are very lucky to have O'Gara and should use him whilst they can. There is no point sacrificing a quality playmaker just to rush Sexton through. Sexton is not ready, he may never be but that is a different discussion. He should be happy to stay in O'Garas shadow until he is ready for international rugby. He should look at how much it benefitted Flood who stayed in the shadows until he was ready. Right now we need to start O'Gara and play to his strengths, continuing into the World Cup.

Kidney has been trying to get the whole Irish team to play a type of rugby that suits Sexton's game. It's feckin' crazy becuase the kid himself is not ready and if you are constantly swapping in O'Gara who plays the game differnetly then the team is completely at sea. Hence the disaster we are seeing at the moment.

O' Gara's defence is woeful, Hape and Banahan (in particular) would just run through him and very easily

It's a funny old game this. We (Wales) still need Ireland to put another 15/20 on England, and hope for a massive performance out in France, to win it. But this will still make it the hollowest of victories for England.

England get a try back there not gonna win here but at least get some point back so that the tables point difference is at least 30+ .

I can't see it happening, but it will be incredible if Wales do beat France by 26 points to win the 6 Nations.

Great game for Ireland against the best team in the 6 nations. Why the feck couldn't we do that until now? Shite performances in all the other games and then this. Ridiculous.

Ridiculous maybe but not a bad result & performance to carry us into the World Cup, it'll do the players & co the power of good.

Well done Ireland!
