Rugby 2017 Discussion

Wait what ?? Is that really the rules??

feck NZ anyway, all those years of McCaw cheating.

Can anyone clarify the rule for me? I thought offside was a pen regardless.

Yeah Owens went to catch it, if it just hit him fair enough but that's a pen.

feck me. Lions more than held their own on this tour against the best team in the world.

Congratulations to both sides. New Zealand's Eden Park fortress maintained but only just.

On the plus side there will be some really pissed off kiwis.

Great match to watch all in all.

Absolutely incredible. But the last two tests have been decided by contentious decisions. Lions got the letter-of-the-law benefit last week and I'll be interested when this gets broken down is they got an advantage against the actual wording.

Instinct. He instantly dropped it, so obviously didn't intend to hold onto the ball.

Which is not the rule at all. Meh. I don't even know why I'm arguing about this. It's precisely why I don't like rugby they just kind of make up the rules as they go along.

Fair play to Farrell, had a horrendous first 20 but excellent after that.

KR honest - not all about the ruling. There were plenty more opportunities that went begging. Not so sure that the Kiwi press will be so noble.

Barrett should have let his brother place kick. Lions maximised everything and were unlucky with a dodgy forward pass call on Watson. All Blacks uncharacteristically error-strewn.

One side scored two tries the other none. Only one clear winner here. As usual British sides rely on a bloke with a big boot.
