Ye we need to go to something different. When Conte came to the prem he won the league with a 3 at the back. We’re suited to it when Yoro comes back.
Our backups don't. I hope he doesn't insist on 3 at the back. Considering our luck with injuries, we'll soon be lining up with one of Maguire/Lindelof, Casemiro and Evans as the 3 at the back.

9 wins from 9 in the league. 30 goals scored, 2 conceded. Beat closest rivals Porto 2-0.

Rúben in!

Don't know anything about him. If he takes the job - good luck to him...
A young manager who took Sporting from a looong slumber up to the very top of the league. Getting past the two big clubs Porto and Benfica is an achievement and a half.

Back 3 here we come. Please let this be the end of Bruno. Pleaseee. (Highly doubt it but I can dream)

fecking hell that’s quick. We’re moving like the mob. Let’s bag him

I already gave my opinion but I might be wrong. Nothing in the portuguese press. I don't know if the English source is credible though.

Ornstein is reporting it, and he's as credible as it gets.

I'm absolutely gutted my dream manager failed to get United back where they belong. We have to look on however and Amorim seems to play quite offensive en attractive football. They seem to play with inside forwards and wingbacks, of which we don't really have a lot at the club. Dalot can do wingback of course, Amad seems to be the only true inside forward at first team level. Wonder what happens to Rashford and also Garnacho would struggle in such a setup.

Total agree and Luke Shaw only way have ponging his PL career is at LCB in a 3 man defence., his body can’t cope with the athleticism needed to operate down the left flank anymore?

As per The Athletic Liverpool considered him in the summer to replace Klopp, but ultimately decided against it:

Wonder how the concerns as to his compatibility with their squad would translate to ours?

Terrible wiff of bollox off that. They were worried his style was too slow and not front foot enough, so they hired… Arne Slot? Come on now.

Him and Ornstein are probably as reliable as you get our side. But I suppose ‘open’ to move means anything.

Hasn’t he also played a 4-3-3 with them aswell? I remember Bruno playing in a 4-3-3 with them but not sure if Amorim was manager then. Don’t think he was as he’s only young

Podcast reports from that time suggest that he insisted on things like 3 ATB and asked for signings to support his vision. They ultimately decided that they wanted someone more flexible than that. Every manegerial appointment comes with risk and they didn't want a guy who insisted on his way or the highway. Squads built that way do not translate well to a new coach.
Thanks for that. Us moving for him and him being more acceptable to join us hopefully means that he's more flexible now. As I said in other post, we don't have a squad for 3 at the back. Atleast not currently with the back up options at CB we have right now.

I think Garnacho gets drafted at LWB.
