Round of 16 | Switzerland vs Italy | Germany vs Denmark

I want exciting matches from now on, so i hope the best teams progress.

I think Italy would probably give England the better game, so would rather they win, and Germany and Spain would be a great game to watch and a really strong midfield battle.

I like Kroos. Not so much that guy from Switzerland who’s nearly good at every tourno. Obvs we know a few Danes; best of luck to them

Not scared by Suisse. Half of their players play in Serie A, I know their value and they are not that good..

In a combined XI Italy would be present with almost all their players:

Donnarumma > Sommer
Di Lorenzo > Stergiou
Mancini < Akanji
Bastoni > Rodriguez
Darmian > Schar
Barella > Xhaka
Cristante < Freuler
Fagioli > Aebischer
El Shaarawy > Rieder
Chiesa > Ndoye
Scamacca > Embolo

+ we have Spalletti who is a top coach.

I expect to win honestly.

Fagioli and El Shaarawy starting is something of a surprise. Never been impressed the few times I watched the former

These first set of knockout games are quite boring. Next round will be better. Think the France and Italy games are the most interesting for this round.

I watched Italy game and I watched Swiss games and I wouldn’t be so sure you got that win covered.

This can only lead to two possible outcomes.
A) Your post will be forgotten halfway through the game.
B) You will be quoted a bunch of times after Switzerland inevitably progress.

Chiesa first goal

2-0 Italia

I think the comparison just goes to show that it’s a lot tighter individually than it has ever been before

The LB/LWB would be the only position we'd have great depth with Dimarco and Udogie + Spinazzola and Atalanta's Ruggeri as alternatives so it's a bid sad we must play Damrian there.

Our wingers suck though. Even with Berardi (tore his ACL) the situation wouldn't improve much.

Swiss win today.

Italy team looks the sort you'd put out in a third group game when you've already qualified.

Darmian is better than Schar, that's a big old call. Given he's played at LB today he's more comparable to Rodriguez. I think Swiss having so many players in Serie A will actually help them today.

We'll see!

Think this will be close, but expect Italys defence to get them over the line.

I think Italy goes through. Don't think Switzerland will handle being slight favourites, in some people's eyes.

Feels like Ricardo Rodriguez has been Switzerland's left back for the last 30 years.

Donnarumma was born on the same day as I was yet looks much older. He looked like an adult when he was 16 while I had a fecking baby face.

Not a lot of attacking threat from both sides.

Swiss have more recognizable names than Italia?

Can't believe El Shaarawy is just 31.. It seems like a lifetime has passed since his breakthrough season at AC Milan

Heaven forbid putting in a cross as you might lose the ball. God, football nowadays sucks sometimes.

Abit of a Conte developing there for Barella 's hair. Needs to look into that asap.

What ever happened to that Locatelli fella?

Was he not near enough the best player in the tournament 4 years ago? Plays for Juve as well, looks like he's not even in the squad this year.

Annoys me a lot when full backs aren’t booked for that type of foul.
