Those 7 seasons have absolutely no bearing on how he's judged today. He could have scored 2000 goals in those 7 seasons but if he's woeful and harmful to the team's overall play, that's all that will matter. Despite his disgraceful behavior, fans would back him if he was still performing to an acceptable level but he's not and then he goes and does things like he did vs Spurs. Instead, he'll score another goal vs an awful side, his fanboys will think this points to a revival and he may get the confidence to do better and then he'll proceed to be as bad as he has been this season and the cycle continues. I think everyone at the club probably knows and accept Ronaldo has maybe 4-5 games left in his United career and he'll be gone in January so I really find it odd that we continue to give him chances at this point. Rashford emerged through a moment of injury and selection crisis and took his chance in the Europa. Do we have no one in the reserves who can do a half decent job up top?37 year old with no pre season has poor start to season. Does something stupid and gets punished.
Fans "He's finished, Judas, traitor never done nuffin for United"
His fanboys are bad but so are those who can easily dismiss 7 seasons he has given United, several of which he was our best player and arguably the best in the world.
He has now been punished. So the issue is over and I hope everyone moves forward. A fit, firing Ronaldo is an asset as we saw last season but he has to accept a reduced role. If he does, let's put the past week to bed and back the club, manager and players, which includes Ronaldo
