As much as I would love him to come back, I just cannot see it happening. Part of me thinks that whatever is going is just a ploy to get an even bigger contract to what he is on.
When he was at United, I remember him being very forward about his desire to play for Real Madrid (dream club). If the lad was really dead set about returning to us in the near future, then he would be dropping our name in every interview and expressing his desire to play for us once again (IMO). For this reason I do think he is more than happy at Real will play the remainder of his beat days there. I would be more than happy to be wrong though and if he did so happen to sign for us, then I will let out the biggest Tarzan scream whilst banging on my chest with one hand and wanking with the other hand.

I agree with your point but Ronaldo dreamed of playing for one of the glamour clubs in Spain, he didn't dream of Madrid.
That was just after the Euro's though, and he was trying to just get out of England full stop. I think once that died down his desire seemed to be only for Madrid.

You could say that he would say that though and would have said the same if he went to Barca. But I got the impression that he always wanted Madrid.
Probably because Barca had Messi and he wouldn't have been the star man there.
I think he always would have moved to one of the big 2 in Spain. Doubt it was some undying love for Real in particular. Players from Portugal simply see the Spanish giants as bigger than anything England has to offer.
