Just thought I'd put it here, I am beginning to find this whole shirt number thing the most annoying part of football. Players and fans care about it way too much.

Mate I have a wife, 3 sons and 5 grandsons, 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters, all require my nurturing towards being loyal United fans (I converted my wife from supporting Portsmouth )
Shirt numbers and names are part of their United 'education', I can't afford new shirts for them all every season but when my daughter says to me that Lukaku looks great in 'that' shirt I know it's a hint !
I have bought United shirts with either squad numbers, favourite players or both, so your right, I do care toooooo much but ordering my daughter a shirt with Lukaku 2 could cause huge physiological problems, God forbid she might actually give up on United, do you really want that on your conscious ?
