Love his reaction after the first. Like he was somehow wronged
In the second, he shows exactly where he will finish, making it easy for Ederson. Still good keeping though.
He'd do alright in France, probably better than Italy.Hey PSG, do you need a striker who has scored over 250 career goals who is in his prime? Give us a call. Please?
Oh yeah. And one of the few Bayern players who are basically universally beloved in Germany. He’s just such an incredibly likeable dude.He was a legend wasn't he!
He didn't make it difficult for a keeper of Edersons quality at all. A top quality striker makes him a work a bit.Nothing wrong with the second shot, it was a great save by the keeper.
I don't rate Lukaku, but seems like people are exaggerating.
Elber. Even though I always loved Makaay. But the Dutchman was really a pure and single minded poacher, while Elber was a great all around player. His reputation would have been so much better if his relationship with the Brazilian national team would have been better.
This almost word for word what I was saying in summer about the kind of striker I wanted. Our biggest problem last season was finishing all the chances we create. I was very concerned about this idea people had about just sticking a #9 up there and suddenly we have someone to finish all the chances we create. The #9 is a huge part of the chance creation and for me, I wasn't sure Lukaku was it.
Also, is it just me who finds managers that value strikers like Lukaku in particular as a potential weakness in their ability?
I was surprised Tuchel joined the list of Mourinho and Conte - who are/were all good managers but maybe not exactly the Klopp and Pep level either.

He was poor but the whole team stunk up the place. Tuchel got the selection wrong.Again, the scapegoat used to excuse Chelsea's abysmal display.
Any video of best striker in the world against City?
Lukaku is a poor footballer but this is cnutish from Tuchel.
But we were told none of that matters by some on the caf? He just puts the ball in the net and that's all he needs to do? Problem is apart from those brief moments he's a problem for the team, which is what we've always said.Tuchel - "sometimes he needs to do the service, he had many ball losses without any pressure in very promising circumstances. The performance upfront needs to be much better".
Glad he’s being exposed as the useless lump most of us knew he already was in his underwhelming 2 years with us. Inter will be calling again soon and I think he’s a lock to take the coward’s way out again in a few years.
A hundred million for a glorified HernandezBut we were told none of that matters by some on the caf? He just puts the ball in the net and that's all he needs to do? Problem is apart from those brief moments he's a problem for the team, which is what we've always said.

Was it not flagged? If so he seriously can’t moan surelyThat first chance above, he is so desparate to shift blame on Ziyech, like he sent him a perfect pass, perfect ball and poor guy fecked it up, when reality aint even close to that.
It was. Ziyech was offside. He should have played in Alonso. Was it not flagged? If so he seriously can’t moan surely
It's quite outstanding how bad he is in big games
That’s pretty blunt from Tuchel. Lukaku seems to be a bit thin skinned at times - wonder how we will take this
In any case, I’m sure Chelsea were expecting more than 5 league goals by mid January. Even if he is no good in the buildup, he can usually get the goals vs. the weaker teams.
If I were Chelsea I would get rid in the summer, and go in another direction.
I wanted Sancho personally!
It is very blunt, maybe a bit too blunt but he's not wrong.
I don't know what Chelsea will do because he's on 375k a week and we'd probably want to try and recoup most of the £97m we paid for him. He's a pretty unmovable asset unless a team like PSG or Newcastle can convince him of their project and are happy to match his wages. Both seem like a pipedream to me.
Maybe a Serie A club would pay £50-60m or something? Thats where he has most recently had success, so there might be a club who feel they can strike a bargain.
Usually I would agree but if there's one thing Rom can fully trusted on is that he will find a way out if he's not playing.I can't think of a Serie A club who could match his wages, or would even want to, and that's assuming Chelsea would even want let him go at an almost 50% discount just 12 months after dropping almost £100m on him, which is very unlikely. Unless we get super lucky in the market, we're stuck with him I'm afraid.

In terms of starting Xl hopefully Broja will get us off the hook the way Mendy did re Kepa.

Not really sure we can be blamed for Lamptey and Livramento. When you're producing so many in one go some will slip through the net due to there simply being no room (like Barca losing Cesc and Thiago all be it getting the former back). In the press today that both Broja and his family want to stay at Southampton. Young players want guaranteed game time.
Really hard to see now how Chelsea haven’t made a mistake with the likes of Tomori, Lamptey, Livramento and Broja. They could be two CBs down by the summer for nothing, have no cover at RWB and have the likes of Abraham gone and Broja out on loan that could well be offering something similar to Lukaku.
They should have embraced the youth where they had it and added to it, rather than replaced it. It would have given the team more character too.
I think Broja stays at Saints tbh. Hassenhuttl has clearly had Broja's family in his ear saying he should stay there, and their CEO is talking to Marina. So some sort of deal will be done, i am convinced. Out of loyalty bias and as a fan i hope he stays, and although we are the bigger club, you simply cant keep them all just because they look decent. Some of them simply have to go. But im always skeptical with youth, i think often they are seriously overhyped and expectations need to be lowered; because playing U23 football is nowhere near senior football. Clearly the ones you named have progressed since leaving. But i remember the days where Lewis Baker was the next big thing but in reality he was shite. He couldnt get in the Boro, Reading and Leeds sides half the time. Lewis Hall was very neat and tidy v Chesterfield in the FA Cup and people on social media started wanting him in the first team, but its fecking Chesterfield. 5th tier of English football, probably the standard he is used to week in week out. Give him some experience on loan, first. In the press today that both Broja and his family want to stay at Southampton. Young players want guaranteed game time.
