Will see, but I believe he’s a good fit and will help them a ton.
Irrespective of his outputs, nailed on for a couple of goals against us next season followed by a “shush” hand movement and a kissing of the badge
Varane and Maguire will shackle him and he’ll break the league record (currently held by him from his United stint) for the most amount of times pointing to where he wanted the ball in one match.

Bruno doesn't score agains't the top 6 sides either but you still rate him. 15 open play goals plus 5 pens lets say thats 20 goals thats only 3 off what Harry Kane got last season and he takes penalties too.
He has the first touch of AIDS, but the boy can score. Good hold up play aswell. Expect him to score 20 plus

You are comparing a player maker to an out and out striker - like seriously?! It actually goes to show how incredible Bruno has been. 60 goals and assists in 85 games for Utd is not comparable.
This compilation brings back some bad memories! I used to get anxiety every time a utd player passed the ball into lukaku’s feet when it was a nice attacking move. It was like a huge relief when he would be able to trap it and complete a pass to any player on our own team.
Oh I didn't say he wouldn't help them, he provides a reliable goal outlet especially against smaller sides and that's something that Chelsea simply didn't have last year. I'm just of the opinion that he doesn't provide enough in open play alongside his goalscoring troubles against better sides to be rated as one of the top strikers in the world, which is what Chelsea are paying for.

Could he wrong but I'm fairly sure he's still without a single open play assist vs a 'big six' side.

Re: Lukaku. I think United just wasn't a great fit and fans think since he's big and strong he should play like Drogba who can hold the ball and play it to others.
He's not that kind of player as his skillset is not the same. He's like a bigger Inzaghi and if you can limit his involvment tor just scoring goals he's gonna be great.
But for that price tag, I feel Chelsea should got a more rounded player
He's a good striker and he'll score a lot of goals for Chelsea, but he's worth nowhere near what they're paying for him and has some glaring limitations. I also don't think he guarentee's them the title they perhaps think that he does.

Plus I think it's more because Chelsea feel this is the time to push up a gear and challenge (hence the Silva signing) and have exhausted the Haaland option. So given that Lukaku is among the best 9s out there and loves Chelsea, it does make sense.

One thing people seem to have forgotten is that he doesn't do very well under pressure. It's got something to do with his personality. There were instances in the past where he was being put under the spotlight for his and his team mates performances and he just had to talk back in order to justify his past actions. Talked instead of doing something about it. Even when he was doing well at Inter he still had to talk about United. It's like he's very conscious of his self image. I think it's why he didn't meet expectations at United, he was really good at convincing himself that things are going fine and he hasn't done anything wrong. You can't really compare his career at United vs at Inter. At Inter he didn't have a lot of pressure to begin with, they had never won the league for how many years? he joined and instantly became a favorite for Conte and it was during the time when things can't go worse after United. Sure he worked hard under Conte but that's only the physical part. It's still the same person. I think if his career at Chelsea goes smoothly in the first few months and over the course of the season, they have themselves a top goal scorer (only scoring goals though!). But if there's something wrong that happens, that reverts himself back to "I'm doing good really. Let people talk, I do the thing" etc. then it could spell a disaster. Especially if Tuchel starts to favor other strikers instead of him, if it ever goes that badly.
I thought all goals counted, not just against the "top" 6. Our record against teams outside the top has what has caused problems, season after season. It's also not like we try and dominate against a top 6 side anyway, we defend and nick a goal.
The thing that works in his favor is he does not need to carry the team. He just performs his role. If he is not banging, there are other options. Tuchel reads the game well and is decisive in changing things mid game when necessary. Lukaku is just a piece available to Tuchel.

Spending 180 million on Werner and Lukaku in a short space of time is an amazing misuse of resources. Why didn't they just give the money to Messi?

Not happy with this even though I don't rate him as top class. End of the day, he's a goal scorer and especially one that's good at bullying the avg teams. 3 pts vs City count for as much as 3 vs Pool and with the wealth of creators at Chelsea, can see him getting 15-20 in the league which will get Chelsea lot of extra points that Werner and Co simply couldn't.

I can see him doing a little better at Chelsea than he did here, right now your a better team than we were with him here. Still can’t see him getting a goal a game, if he can score 7 in 10 he’ll be doing very well.
He scores the easy goals, and for a lot of teams that’s enough. But I feel like people don’t realize how second rate the Italian league is these days. Success there won’t easily translate to England, he looked like the same player for Belgium he always was for us.
