He can't do anything with the ball at his feet. He needs space.
 
His first touch... wow. Zlatan is on a completely another level in terms of that.
 
I'd love to be wrong on this but, it's a sad thought he'll be our number 1 striker for a few years. Very limited.
 
Things not going that well for him at the moment, but what has impressed me is his hard work off the ball. Put in a good shift today. Goals will start flowing again soon.
 
Another poor game. But he did buy some fans with tracking back, smart from him. I have no idea how he plays 90 minutes every game though.
 
Overall a poor game but he worked so hard for the team so credit to him. Was great to see him tracking back defensively even though he played in a position he's not familiar with.

Had to say I'm frustrated to see him losing almost all aerial duels though.
 
Not much to offer on the ball but he worked hard so that should get him some of that Fellaini/Young love.
 
His touch (doesn't even have to be his first) might be as bad as some people said..

This is the first negative thing I've said about Rom.

He needs to be part of an onslaught. How we play at our best. So he can just bat them in and dominate the area.
 
I genuinely feel bad for him. He's working his bollocks off and feeding of scraps. I don't blame him, feed him and he will score. It's not like he's missing chance after chance.
 
We're not really creating many chances for him in fairness. Having said that his all-round play leaves a lot to be desired.

Doesn't make it right, though. The balance of the team was awful all game.

Jose seems like he doesn't know what to do.

Started with a 442, with Rom and Rashford up top, then went with Mata behind Rom, with Rashford on the wings. Was the opposite way round against Newcastle.

It's great having flexibility, but everything just seems all over the place at the moment.
 
If this is Mourinho's system 'working' as expected, then he either needs a different type of striker or Lukaku needs to do a hell of a lot more. I just can't tell which scenario it is.

Certainly think Morata (not to start a war over that) would suit us better at present.
 
Very limited player. His all round play is non existent. Very chicharito-like. When he does something creative it surprises me. Like the way he scooped up that right wing cross to Rashford for the header vs barcodes. Hope he can improve.

Not true, he needs to run more into the box and create initiative. He stands still and raises his arm like an idiot, just doesn’t have the effort in him. Several times he could have run into the box, he could have made an effort, could done better with one-two’s - but he just doesn’t bother or have the technique. Absolutely rubbish performance, needs to be benched
 
Get him out of your fantasy teams guys, he’s going to be featuring on the wings with his magnificent touch now that Zlatan’s back.

I must give him credit for the defensive side of the game today. He was almost Rooney/Tevez like in that regard today.

With that being said, he just isn't a good enough footballer. He's a level below where we want to be long term IMO.

There is no use if he runs into the box when build up is so labored and all the defenders are already positioned.
 
We keep playing direct balls and crosses to him, yet he succeeded at Everton because they played balls to feet, and he played off the shoulder of the last defender.

Everton didn't even play with any wingers ffs.

We just need better creativity and movement in the final third, and stop relying on crosses.
 
Shouldn't have to play out of form players till the fans and media start turning on them.

Like Zlatan last season and Mkhi this year, the results will suffer when the player suffers a dip

If they decide to take a look at the incident then I'd say a 3 match ban would be almost inevitable. To be honest, it'd be fully deserved, it didn't look pretty at all. Why the feck is he doing shit like this? Just imagine our goal was disallowed because of it if an official had spotted it.
 
Too static today, looks short of confidence when playing for United recently, looks a completely different player when in the Belgium team.
