Imagine if we had wingers and full backs supplying him consistently, he'd score 20 headers alone.

The golden boot race is gonna go right down to the wire!

Lukaku
Aguero
Kane
Morata

Boy are we in for a treat this season in the premier league:drool:

8 in 8, and today 2 main bits of action, the header then follow up for his goal, and the right foot drive from an angle, that was always a favourite to be saved.

Not sure he had any other chances.

Hope we supply a bit more against Palace next week

Decent performance from Lukaku today, especially as he was isolated for large parts of the game.

8 in 8 is a great record.

Let's hope he can start bagging more than 1 goal a game.

To be fair to him, should have had an assist today but you're right he could have scored another at least.

Kind of scary when you think that, he still has a massive room for improvement; when he IS a monster of striker already.

He was our only attacker who could keep the ball under pressure and I had that down as a weakness of his before joining. He's been great so far.

It's quite clear that he's going to boss in the air against most defenders. Only if we could actually play those crosses to him on regular basis, he'd have a few more already this season.

great cross from Young. reminds me of his watford and villa days when he was supplying crosses to john carew.

Lukaku would have a field day had we got players with the quality of crosses like Beckham and Gary Neville on the right side and Giggs on the left.

He loves it, absolutely great mentality and the right one. He's a beast and if we can form up behind him in attack a little more we can rattle our way back to that early season form.

I'm loving how his goals are spread out. A lot of his goals came in batches at Everton - hopefully he can maintain this sort of consistency.

I wouldn't say this is that far away from his Everton form? I thought the criticism of him was that he scored in clusters at Everton, 4 goals in 4 games followed by none in 4 followed by 6 in 3 etc...

I've always thought that was a touch unfair, all players do that to an extent, but I simply don't think we've got a large enough sample size to say that that definitely won't be an issue going forward.

After the first interview I saw of him after he signed I knew he would be great. He's supremely serious and confident about his game.

What's our club record in scoring in consecutive matches in all comps?

I know league is probably Van Nistelrooy with ?10.

The scary part is that Lukaku, at the age of 24 already is number 27 at the all-time-highest goalscorers in the Premier League - and with a normal finish he will be top 20 at the age of 25.

He's 5 goals away from scoring more Premier league goals than Van Nistelrooy. 14 goals away from beating Drogba yet he's only 24 years old.

He's had a great start but I think most of you are getting extremely carried away. He's no way as good as half of you are making him out to be.

Most or some? Because most of what I see is people referring to what a beast he's been so far which is undeniable surely?

Palace up next Saturday hopefully helps that along.

He did get 2 on his league debut. Just that he missed a pen v someone too.

Leicester. He would have kept a perfect consecutive scoring streak. Only have himself to blame though.

Just like many people have said, the best thing is he's spreading the goals. 8 in 8 and should have had 4 assists already, too, if not for some terrible finishing. Fair to say he is TOP 6 pure no.9s in football right now?

He may be coming off a move from a stepping stone club, but I genuinely believe my eyes when I see his attitude translated on his pitch that he is a leader and a player with a real point to prove at our club. Long may it continue!
