Also showed today that it's not an excuse in previous to games to just say stuff like he couldn't do anything with the hoofs. He did loads with the long balls into him today - specifically because they stuck to him and he used his body properly to outmuscle defenders, and he made the right movements and got away from his marker instead of waiting for it too much. Great to see.

Great game, one of his best this year I'd say considering the opposition, hold the ball pretty well and end up with 1+1, so all in all excellent game, shame his volley couldn't go in or hedidnt try to finish that ridiculous run with the ball when he bullied for pure pace all defenders..

Bison, beast, whatever, some of those runs were superb. That one at the end with three men on him was immense. He just left Azpi for absolutely dead. Stretford End loved that more than anything else today.

Has been great and consistent for a whole now. If we manage to eliminate Sevilla he will surely pass the 30 goal mark in all competitions. From a striker what more can you expect?

Game where lukaku bossed Chelsea defence. The run from him towards the end is something no other forward in epl now would have produced. He took their defence by surprise there. Need to check speed on that sprint maybe is fastest sprint in epl this year.

I keep saying it. If our supply to him was regular he'd score more regularly for us. Today he got the service and delivered.
It annoys me so much that a lot of the times he is the only player in the box and still our fb's put crosses 20 yards away from him. Just like today there have been multiple times this season when he has put the kind of crosses you wish he would receive
Nah I disagree. The difference today was he made the most out when he got the ball (after his goal). Held it up properly, made things happen on his own, outmuscled defenders and showed his pace. He was awful before his goal and it was looking like it would be a standstd big game from him, after his goal he was transformed though and a completely different player.
He was awesome today. Bullied the defence, a goal and assist, good on and off the ball. And at the end when we needed someone to keep the ball he carries it 40 yards holding off 3 players he was superb.
Hopefully this game gives Lukaku the confidence that he can impose himself and influence any game from anywhere, not just as a target man. Incredible performance to turn around Chelsea.
