This Roman news is the big deal now, but the spending at Man City and Newcastle is going to make everyone else in a dogfight for 3rd and 4th.
I'm under absolute no illusion they'll be some changes but we have a good squad already here, an academy brimming with more talent than we know what to do with and most crucially of all a coach that can put it all together (I'm confident he'll stay as i read he was apparently going to settle for a Levekusen esque job out of the spotlight if the Chelsea job went tits up) which as we've seen with Liverpool can go a long way.
Will we be turning the PL into another Bundesliga anytime soon? Almost certainly not but whether people want to admit it or not we're a big club in the modern day and I'll be amazed if we're still not competive at the right end of the table to some degree or another.
His 1.5 bn he loaned for club mostly for club s infrastructure related expenses. Cobham, training facility and academy related expenses. We are not some third tier club. We are generating better revenues than all the clubs in the world except some elite may be maximum ten.
Yes we can't operate like Roman days but still we can operate Liverpool like model and have great academy too.
Alright mate, I'm just posting a Tweet
Marina statement online was fake btw. It's being reported now she might actually be staying.
This is the latetst
Id be surprised if she stayed. Buck will go too.Personally I can’t see it at all given how close she is with Roman
This is spot on, they're about to enter the real world so to speak, the change will be massive (fecking hope it is too the twats)Ha ha you were reported?!
I think what you’ll all need to accept is you won’t be operating as you used to. Roman was arguably the ideal owner. He didn’t want to take money out and was happy to keep putting money in and happy to take on lots of debt himself preventing it from hitting the club.
You’ll do very well to find an owner who will do this. A consortium will want profit and to be able to run normally like other clubs.
With all due respect some of you won’t have experienced that given RA has been at your club for 19 years. Your whole structure is going to change. Marina leaving today is more evidence of this.
I think you’re absolutely burying your heads if you think things will crack on as normal. That’s not to say you’ll fade in to obscurity but it doesn’t need to be one extreme or the other. The impact will be significant.

4.2 bn I presume.if he gets 3 billion for Chelsea, i dread to think what the Glazers price will be now
You have a great academy now but that's not going to be a given once Roman leaves, things like that depend on the sort of sporting structure is put in place by new owners. I think some are underestimating just how much can and does change under new ownership. His 1.5 bn he loaned for club mostly for club s infrastructure related expenses. If we avoid expensive mistakes to count them it's almost half a billion worth like Torres, kepa, morota,Lukaku, pulisic and havertz that's almost half a billion worth of players.
Chelsea got the base from Roman s time from fan base to commercial income as one of the biggest clubs. Its upto next management to make them stay there at top with less spending and investing wisely in players.
Don't think we'll ever be for sale unless we plummet to the point of losing a global fanbase.if he gets 3 billion for Chelsea, i dread to think what the Glazers price will be now

You arguably only survived it as you put it because of RA! That’s the point. He’s been great for you.Too good in fact.
We are no more as Chelsea fc under Roman.I understood. But he still leave behind his legacy through academy that built for two decades. You have a great academy now but that's not going to be a given once Roman leaves, things like that depend on the sort of sporting structure is put in place by new owners. I think at this point it's fair to concede any new owner will be a downgrade from Abramovich, but we simply do not know one way or the other where the chips will fall so the doom mongers (not you) and eternal optimists are just playing a game of pure guess work until we know more about the new ownership structure.
I'm not necessary dying for another sugar daddy style ownership, but I'd prefer it if they weren't leeches either. So something in between a Saudi Prince and the Glazers is the sweet spot I'm hoping for.

Your heart bleeds for them. This is the true atrocity that's happening this week.
also… ‘downgrade’? You’re mental. Few owners would be.
I hope that you get everything you want. Garbage attitude.
In a footballing sense. He wasn't good for the sport but he was great for Chelsea. Nothing controversial about saying that.
Why is it garbage?
Yeah the one and only.
Abramovich was always a piece of shit. Chelsea fans need to finally accept that. To defend it is tragic. To hope for a new owner somewhere between a Saudi prince and our owners is just shit. It sets the bar so low.
Jesus christ, I know he's a horrible individual. No-one is even disputing that. Well I'm not anyway. I'm saying strictly in a footballing se .... oh forget it. It was clear what I meant.
It doesn't set the bar low at all. I don't think sugar daddies are good for the sport and I don't want leeches. I want owners who care for the club and will preserve the culture and soul of the club, continue building the club and spend what needs to be spent to keep the team competitive.
And the ruthless culture Roman created that won at all cost will not move away too easily. We are still a very young team with winning experience of cl. We will see.
Hope whoever buy the club need to trust Tuchel and Cech to continue their football side of business. Commercial they can take care of it.
Fair go. I got stupidly antagonised by ‘Saudi Prince’. Apologies.

Appart from being Russian, what crimes has he committed? I hate Chelsea but he has bought lots of tax income into the U.K. coffers. He should not be allowed to sell the damn club. The UK being shown up for being a joke.
Odds of them getting a blank cheque book will be over if they get the "investment" type owners like glazers. You’re not going to like reality.
They should be docked points.Well, as an oligarch with associations to Putin, the UK Government should seize CFC.

Come on, was the tweet really worth bringing in parliament?
