Robert Lewandowski

Because he won't spend a chunk of the season on trial for blackmailing a team mate quite possibly followed by a trip to jail... Not passing go but potentially still collecting £200 (grand a week)

This, not to mention that Karim seems to be made of glass. Perpetually injured. For that reason alone, I rate Lewa much more highly. At least he's on the pitch for most of the season.

And I think many of us are overlooking how truly awful Benzena's actions in that blackmailing case were. Even if he gets off, is this the kind of person people want in their dressing room?

Lewandowski is better than benzema at mostly everything.

That made me laugh. Benzema was never a great finisher, but as a link up forward, he's the best there is. Lewandowski is a bit of everything, really good but it's not exciting to watch him play (imo).

Benzema might be better at link up, but lewandowski is no Inzaghi either. His finishing is better, he's stronger, much more of an aerial threat, great movement and touch is great. Lewandowski is a much better striker.

Highly debateble, at least if you include more than pure passing skills (there Benzema is superior to Lewandowski). Lewandowski has an incredible first touch and here I mean more than just with his feet, but also other body parts like chest or head. You can basically play the ball to him in any circumstance and he manages to get a hold of it. His physical strength also makes it extremely hard for the defender to dispose him of the ball. He is with the back to the goal one of the best players on the planet, which together with his other strengths make him pretty much the ideal target man (a role which was more visible in Dortmund compared to Bayern). He has also the ability to drop into the offensive midfield and contribute to the general play which makes it hard to completely take him out of the game.

Lewandowski is overall simply an extremely complete striker with outstanding abilities in key areas.

As for Kucharski´s usual shenanigans, they mean little and are just a desperate attempt to bring up the name of his client in the media. He did the same at Posnan and Dortmund. Very annoying, but hardly threatening.

Nah, mate. No worries. He's coming here. Jose will be sure to remind him that at OT, he'd be beloved instantly and would be received as the alpha male-type, newly arrived savior a la King Eric (with the part of Fergie now being played by the Special One, of course)--whereas in Madrid, he'd have to be dealing with Ronaldo throwing his toys out of the pram each time he feels he's not getting sufficient attention and appreciation, which needless to say would be often. For crap's sake, Ronaldo can't even deal with the presence of the mild-mannered Bale. Can you imagine what Zlatan would do to that dressing room?

I'm sure Jose will point all those things out--and more--to lure him our way. This is Mourinho, after all. The man will stop at nothing to get what he wants, as we saw with the Machiavellian way he got this gig in the first place!

Where do you even get this from. Pure fantasy.

Not fantasy, mate. There's hardly been a dearth of stories about the Ronaldo-Bale tension, to the point that Ronaldo was even asked about it by the press. His response--something along the lines of "You don't have to be best friends to get along as teammates"--I found rather telling.

But more importantly I've seen it with my own two eyes. Anyone who watches Real's matches enough can see it.

And it's all Ronaldo's petulance and egotism that's brought it about.

Ancelotti is a fan of Higuain is what I read. Real have been linked to Lewa, Aguero and Kane to upgrade on Benzema.

Pretty sure Ibrahimovic won`t end up in Munich.

It's funny that when he's at Madrid Kucharski will be calling them a past it club and too shite for Lewandowski within 3 years too. We are one or two months away from Kucharski calling Bayern too small for Lewandowski, at Dortmund the way he belittled the club was honestly disgusting.

If he goes, that suits me perfectly as Dortmund won't sell another player to Bayern and that frees us nicely up to sign Audemeyang, who being slightly younger and faster would suit us.

His agent was speaking about Real Madrid again saying they are the pinnacle of football and obviously very tempting to Lewandowski. Bayern fans must feel great but it's still a few months before he properly starts disrespecting Bayern calling them too small for Lewandowski and basically telling everyone how crap they are.

I don't give a feck about Bayern, Dortmund or Lewandowski but his agent still manages to vex me on a constant basis.

Why would anyone care about the comments of an agent? Lewandowski is a top professional and if he wants to leave at the end of his contract, he is free to do so.

The bigger question is, if Madrid successfully get Lewandowski, do we abandon pursuit of Zlatan and get Benzema instead? Benzema and Lewy will not be in the same team.

They won't get him this summer, Rummenigge and Reschke already confirmed that Bayern has no intention to sell.

Is this guy a bigger cnut than Toure in terms wanting to move every year?

He himself never says anything, it's his piece of shit agent that won't shut his mouth.

The rumor's been put to bed again by the Bayern bosses. He's staying.

Rummenigge says there is no way they will sell him this year so I think thats a no go.
Maybe Auba might go to Madrid?

That's his dream club but you could make the argument that Auba isn't better than Benzema so why replace him?
However, they seem focused on Lewy as their galactico signing of the summer. I admire the way Bayern is run but Madrid tend to get the players they want. Will be interesting to see if they can pull it off.

If Rummenigge came out and directly said they arent selling, it would take something crazy like €100m for them to consider this IMO.
Which isnt out of the question for a club like Madrid, esp if they manage to offload James for the €80m they want for him.

He isn't. It's his agent doing all the talk, Lewandowski hardly creates hype around him. Kucharski (agent) has made a mockery out of all transfer sagas involving Lewandowski - first when he was choosing between Napoli and Dortmund, then when he was moving to Bayern (announcing on national television that he'd announce Lewandowski's next team a day later, that was complete low, consistently belittling Dortmund too and even insulting them).

Lewandowski is a wonderful player, but quite frankly he will need to step it up in terms of being a big game goal threat.
Personally, I blame our CL exit on him mostly. So obnoxiously tame at times.

I think he is referring to Kimmich's goal against Freiburg. If Kimmich leaves the ball alone it might still go in. Still out of line from Lewandowski.

There was no need to bump this thread.

Start a thread in the footy to discuss Lewandowski moaning about losing the scoring title.
