Rio Olympics 2016

What happened to Blake? Wasn't he supposed to be Bolts next big challenger, 4 years ago he was close to him.

I love how the Bahrainis are just helping themselves to random Jamaican sprinters so they can get a medal.

Was just thinking this, the last I remember him he won the 2011 world championships and then went off the boil for some reason

Linford Christie is still the British record holder for the 100m at 9.87, Bolt just beat that even after easing off
Another dodgy one though. Was he really clean?

Fantastic from Murray. Britain's greatest ever sportsman :D

Hope I'm wrong but I fancy Gatlin for the 100 :(

9.00 to break the world record, after seeing his semi final.

They had a former-Kenyan in the women's marathon earlier as well.

It's probably his last olympics

I think that'll make him more compelled to take the piss a bit. He's already got his world record, winning his final race without even taking it seriously would be an iconic way to go.

This is hilarious. The Qatar volleyball team is filled with Serbs, French and other European players. They give them citizenship and pay them a lot to play for them. Pathetic really. Qatar apparently will revoke their citizenship and are not even going to pay them if they come back without a medal.

To be honest, either would be pretty funny/entertaining/rewarding to see

Talking about drug cheats (never proven) Flo Jo still holds the record for the woman's 100 and 200, which is amazing since it was the same games as Ben Johnson and quite a few men have ran faster

Bolt about to run in a minute on BBC Four btw.
Watching NBC and no sign of the track & field, especially the 100M final... what gives?
Any US based folk on here know which channel it's on? I see water polo and women's volleyball on at the moment (5:35 PST).

I'm not reading any of the other post on here so I can avoid the result... :(

And people were laughing at me at work for taking time off work to watch the 100m final. This is Bolt's last Olympics and I expect to see something that will be remembered fpr years in Olympics history.

I am typing this as I am playing with Bolt on Temple Run 2 as well. So hyped.

You scared me quoting that:nervous:

I love that Bolt is such a massive United fan. Makes me want him to win even more.

There should be a version of running where you're given a big stick to beat your opponents with. Method of winning would remain the same albeit being allowed to beat opponents with a stick at any point in the race.
