Right, just for the hell of it....

But that is my point really if anything. We are perhaps all a little unsure where each of is coming from at times, but we are all in this together ultimately. We are all equally valid United fans whether it's Trafford, Trondheim or Timbuktoo and we should all be able to say what we feel and not get too upset.
No staff should be sacrosanct and immune from criticism, and equally when players and management have performed well it ought to be recognised.

I've been reading the crap written on this forum for a while now....

Welcome! :D

I would like to see the faces of those who gave me stick for supporting Veron. :D

I am also a bit mystified abot all these people saying we should not have knocked Veron after his performance in the Arsenal game- he was good against them compared to his usual EPL performances, but in the first half especially he still give the ball away too many times and he still is not performing to the standard that a 28+ million pound player should. Don't let the fact he got a goal (that resulted from a handball) cloud your judgement. I think every red would love to see players like the Nevs, Veron etc playing consistently well every week but I don't think it is going to happen. Definetly savour the moment guys but don't get too carried away.

Well I've fallen out with CD more than once. But just because he isn't blessed with the same optimism as some of us, doesn't make this a crap post imo. I've been talking to a few "mature" United fans oop north this weekend, and they voice similar feelings, tho maybe in a more cautiously optimistic vein.

I think Seba was great on Saturday, and the Nevilles have been immense over the past couple of games. Once a player has proved they can do it, I have no reservations about them being in the squad. But it's understandable that some people might think one swallow doesn't make a summer (cue Rams) and don't get over-excited until these players produce on a more consistent basis.

Whilst I don't actually agree with him and feel quite confident about the rest of the season, I can understand what he's saying.

Instead of using our recent success as an opportunity for self righteousness & mutual back slapping would it not better serve as a platform to recall our rivals baseless taunts that we were finished! Phrases like "end of an era" "the fall of an empire" "United in crisis" etc etc have headed numerous threads here & inspired ABU articles in the media...I vividly remember Davo for eg starting one of his posts with "Now that you're officially shite...." well we have'nt heard from his crowd for a while.... "Crisis, what crisis ( now I'll add my smilie, with a smirk!) :)

Only had two criticisms this season; Veron lacks consistency - brilliant one minute, mediocre the next. Someone of his talent will 'click' eventually, it's just a question of when. Giggs seems to be going backwards. Three years ago, he was genuinely dangerous for much of the game, these days he seems to disappear for a lot of the game whether it's because he drifts inside too much or whether he lacks the confidence to take men on - when was the last time you saw him push the ball down the line and take on the defender for pace? He always seems to look to cut inside these days when he has the ball. These are criticisms it's true but the only ones. I'm happy with SAF (I figure he knows a hell of a lot better than me how to run a team) and I'm happy with the players commitment - I think that the problem was mainly one of self belief. After the Shitty game, SAF somehow got them believing in themselves again. Probably the thing that made the difference was SAF making them believe that they weren't a one man team, that they were still a very good side even without Keano. Total Redspect to The Wizard for turning it all around.

Piss off...

What I lack in strength, I more than make up for in cunning. A successful pillaging has to be planned in great detail, you know...

However I digress... ;)

I've previously questioned the wisdom of playing Veron against the top 5 teams. Though I did say this is because of a lack of space and NOT a lack of ability...

Apart from that I've never said a word against either - Am I in, or out ??

In, people that question in a sensible way can join the smily club, it's the constant moaners that are barred.

:D

Keep the faith, and lets hope the boys keep up the high level of performance. I think Sir Alex has convinced them that moaning about the injured players is counter productive, they're good players, go out and play. And boy have they been doing that!
