Welcome!

Why do people get so wound up over G Nev etc whenever anybody criticises them, against Liverpool he was immense, but I think in the Arsenal game he was good (remember it Neveille who let Henry through when he should have scored at 0-0), P Neveille was excellent against Arsenal but we all know that he hasn't got the ability to perform like that on a regular basis (if he did would SAF not play him on a regular basis). I am also a bit mystified abot all these people saying we should not have knocked Veron after his performance in the Arsenal game- he was good against them compared to his usual EPL performances, but in the first half especially he still give the ball away too many times and he still is not performing to the standard that a 28+ million pound player should. Don't let the fact he got a goal (that resulted from a handball) cloud your judgement. I think every red would love to see players like the Nevs, Veron etc playing consistently well every week but I don't think it is going to happen. Definetly savour the moment guys but don't get too carried away.

Well I've fallen out with CD more than once. But just because he isn't blessed with the same optimism as some of us, doesn't make this a crap post imo. I've been talking to a few "mature" United fans oop north this weekend, and they voice similar feelings, tho maybe in a more cautiously optimistic vein.
I think Seba was great on Saturday, and the Nevilles have been immense over the past couple of games. Once a player has proved they can do it, I have no reservations about them being in the squad. But it's understandable that some people might think one swallow doesn't make a summer (cue Rams) and don't get over-excited until these players produce on a more consistent basis.
Whilst I don't actually agree with him and feel quite confident about the rest of the season, I can understand what he's saying.

Aren't you a bit lightweight for a Viking?
Leave the marauding & pillaging to those of us with a bit of meat on our ribs eh

Piss off...
What I lack in strength, I more than make up for in cunning. A successful pillaging has to be planned in great detail, you know...
However I digress...

I've previously questioned the wisdom of playing Veron against the top 5 teams. Though I did say this is because of a lack of space and NOT a lack of ability...
Apart from that I've never said a word against either - Am I in, or out ??

In, people that question in a sensible way can join the smily club, it's the constant moaners that are barred.
