Rest In Peace, Denis Law

Law family:
”It is with a heavy heart that we tell you our father Denis Law has sadly passed away. He fought a tough battle but finally he is now at peace.

“We would like to thank everyone who contributed to his wellbeing and care, past and much more recently.

“We know how much people supported and loved him and that love was always appreciated and made the difference. Thank you.”

A true gentleman. Had the pleasure of meeting him a few times and he was one of the nicest people you could meet. What a man. What a player.

I never expected him to pass away given how long he's been around and how much he smiles any time we get to see him. Like everyone, his time was going to come to an end. This means that all of the Trinity are now no longer with us.

He played a huge part in what is United today, including his backheel goal for City against them. I hope he gets incredibly glowing tributes from the whole football world as he deserves all of them.

What a player. I had the privilege of meeting him at a book signing, and he was an absolute gentleman. The King. RIP

R.I.P. the original king of the Stretford End. What a brutal few weeks for the club with the passing of both Kathy and Denis.

Oh that's so sad.
Being a fan from the 60s the loss of George, Sir Bobby much more recently and now Denis feels like the absolute end of a special era.
RIP Denis, King of The Stretford End.
