If Paddy ever learns to say 'Tosic' we had all better give it all up for good. Legend.
A very good performance that made Sunderland look clueless. Eikrem's second was a peach.
I agree with what's been said about Macheda trying too hard but perhaps he'll get ten or fifteen minutes at the weekend in the first team and calm down again.

Unless he's injured, I think Welbeck's been pencilled in as the reserve striker to join the first team this weekend.
If Welbeck is injured - and SAF decides to bring along a striker from the reserves - you'd have to say it's Joshua King who looks the most likely.
"Toxic"
Missed this last night. Thanks jb for the goals. Eikrem continues his march towards the first team. Love to see him given his chance I reckon he'll flurish at a higher level.

Nah, I think Fergie will want to give Macheda a chance. God knows he owes him that much. But I'd say that Fergie would be as excited as we would to see what King could do in the first team.
I have watched the class of '92 play at Youth level right through to the present lads, and I am convinced that from what I have seen of Eikrem he is a nailed on certainty for the First team at some point. You can see by the slow and gradual way he has been eased into the U18's, then the reserves, with a few minutes here and there, than the coaches are giving him special care.
He is classy and very aware on the ball, great technique, and brilliant with a dead ball. A real Manchester United type football player.
When he is finished growing he'll fill out a bit more and he'll take off. It's a pleasure seeing United develop and invest such time in a skinny little kid that had breathing problems, and was digagnosed with diabetes soon after joining. It's just another reason why I love Manchester United.
How did Norwood do? Havent seen much of him at all this season. Think he was injured actually
He did ok but i'm not sure playing on the wing got the best out of him. He had a decent half chance in the second half which he lobbed over the bar.
Scored from a quickly taken free kick - sailed over the goalkeepers head but obviously it didn't count as he took it too soon.
So for me a 6/10. Functional but we know what he's capable of

Yeah Id agree with that. He also played the brilliant ball over the top which set King away for the fourth goal which just showed his quality on the ball
Eikrem reminds me more of Barca with Messi than us with Scholes - sorting a small kid out with medical help that he probably wouldn't have got otherwise only to see him blossom with time and patience.
On a related note, does anyone remember the guy who was obsessed with Eikrem and claimed to have done a project on him and everything? That guy was hilarious
You know what I mean Pogue
Do you know what you mean? He's diabetic and he has a deviated septum. Someone call House.
