Reserves v Chelsea 18/04/11

Norwood really has stepped up a level in the last few weeks. Some of his passing is just incredible.

I though the keeper had missed it. Looked like Obertan nicked it off him in the replay.

Nicely taken

United getting all the decisions even at the reserve level

To think they say you have to be a special player to wear pink boots, he must be a hell of a player to rock that fro

Great ball from Petrucci. Little Rudge knocking it past the keeper and nearly in the net..

4-1 Bebe.. Another ball from Norwood too. Bossed it tonight.

Rudge highly rated?
Dont know much about him. Surprised he is playing reserve team footy so soon.

The bench for the last few games has been v young due to the Youth Cup commitments. Gives them some experience with the older lads and is good for their development. I wouldn't read too much into it, Les Kershaw seems to be very positive about the U16s though.

Nice run and one two with Obertan from Bebe, shame about the finish.

I like this little Rudge, tough little blighter!

Nice ball from Rudge to Obertan. Has at least looked confident in his reserve cameos

Norwood had an excellent game, I talked about another possible Petrucci cameo....but Rudge's cameo was pretty damn good.

There's definitely something in this Scholesy getting banned & Norwood's form getting better!

Spending less time on the forum, more time training I guess.

I think we win our next game and we're champions again - but tonight I think the scoreline was fair. Though they had a legit goal ruled out, we were a real threat. Norwood was pinging the ball around, Brady got stuck in, and Chelsea could not handle our pace/movement. Great start to the week and when you think about who was missing, you can't help but be positive about the future.

Good performance, definitely. Norwood was class, Defence looked reasonably solid, Vermijl looked good getting forward, Obertan looked interested this time and King was.. King. 1 point needed against Liverpool or Arsenal and we win the group. Then comes a play-off against Blackburn or Liverpool and the winner will play Arsenal or Chelsea for the title.

Yeah, assisted the third & fourth. Launched the attacks for first & second.

The more I see of Norwood, the more he reminds me of Beckham; that same absence of real pace, but a beautiful right foot and eye for a pass
