I don't get how people fall for this still. It's no different from the shitty newspapers people on here won't believe. Anyone who has the amount of information that spoofex claims he has would be getting people fired in the club and would be selling this so called information to actual media.
/u/xisimon feels like the next norwood. Has connections, but would likely be better off sticking to sure things and not making predictions.

Yep, it's very clear he has a link to tell him about announcements. Kohler, Dalot, James etc... are proof of that. I'm very sceptical of anything that doesn't directly come form the marketing team though. There's no reason whatsoever that someone who knows when we are about to announce news would also know what players we are targeting in the summer though. At least those updates are few and far between unlike the relentless stream of utter shite the rest of them come out with.
From the local news, it was a fluttering about us when Spurs were interested, but now they're claiming we've got an agreement to sign him for 75m. I know that's not concrete, but it's far more specific than any other report and no one has even said were interested in the lad, was my point.
They all are chancers, no doubt about it but Lo Celso news is reported by 1 local paper. We heard so many players like this which didn't make news on second day.
I think this was a bit more specific, personally. Take the Bruno reports, it's always we're "front runners" or "in the lead". Not that we have an agreement for x amount. I think we're in for him.

True. I don't think there so anything to be alarmed about kids falling for it. It's not like that these itk were making these kids buy their dubious products.

He has done this for other deals in the past. I think he does like to embellish his tweets/ posts, and my feeling is that he is a journalist. Everyone else on reddit, as already discussed, just makes vague comments.
The problem with reddit ITK's is that initially, it was treated pretty seriously and people really did believe them. The first I remember was a guy who said Griezmann and Kohler were going to happen long before any journalist. He quit when it didn't occur, despite the Kohler sponsorship deal going through later. Each year since, there have been more ITK's including simon above. This year it seems as if it has grown exponentially. So it turned from something a little believable to complete nonsense. The problem now is that there is a lot of debate from people who still believe them and don't realize its all a joke, people who know its a joke but now want some actual United discussion and also from people who want to continue the joke as much as possible (spoofex). That was my take of it up until a few weeks ago, until someone seemed to have received some form of threats and reported it to the Police.
I quite like how its handled on redcafe. A single thread to discuss it, but nothing more. I think they've done that now on reddit but bizarrely, that spoofex is still worshiped, even though his posts, acting as a moderator as well, appear to go beyond simple "joking around" to actual proper trolling. I guess they enjoy it.

He isn’t a journalist. Why would they bother wasting their time on reddit? His twitter indicates that he’s just chasing followers. A credible journalist would get more followers than some dope on reddit.

The club has in the past maintained a standard time of announcement for transfers for which partial information has been given.
Like last year, Fred and Dalot were announced at 2pm and so on
So he guessed it would be 3pm on that day even though it was 2pm last year?
So what, like I said if he guessed it would be too much to risk had he didn't have a source and was fake.

Simon tweeted on 12th June that he'd be announced that day. Considering it had become common knowledge that he'd be announced on either 11th or 12th, he didn't actually predict the date per se.
Had he got the fee agreement thing timing right, I would have agreed with you. Again, not saying he is definitely a fraud,but he needs to get an out of the blue prediction right for me to believe him
