Lisandro Martinez. I love him. Can't remember seeing a more consistent player. Guy doesn't drop performances below 7.

Then Rashford and Varane.

Out of your team I’d take Luke Shaw first, we need a left back and throughout his career with the ups and downs, I’ve always thought he was a class player.

He suffered after his leg break and was treated appallingly by Mou but I’ve always liked him.

Note this is favorite not "best" player. But Shaw is world class so good pick.

For me it's gotta be Case. Pure fecking winner, world class DM that relishes breaking up play, and genuinely loves it here. And I've loved watching him ever since his early Madrid days when he never got any credit when he first came into those teams while I thought he was fantastic.

I don't really have a 'favourite' player, but a player I like to see is Garnacho. I always feel that something will happen when he's on the ball. Sometimes that will be an incredible skill which results in a goal chance, or he falls over the ball, or runs the ball out of play, but he's an exciting talent who will only improve in time.
It will be interesting who will become United's player of the season? For me it will be between Casemiro and Martinez, with a shout out for Shaw and Rashford. I don't think anyone else would be in the frame.

Casemiro or Rashford I'd have to guess. Could see arguments for either.

Yes while Bruno is my favourite, I love them all really. De Gea, Shaw, Casemiro, Fred, Antony, Varane, Licha, Sancho and of course Rashford. Among the top of the list. I respect Maguire. People like Lindelof, Dalot, AWB, are likeable too.. ah well I may as well just list the whole squad. Certain people leaving certainly has cleared the air. At last there’s clear blue water between the new era and the unfortunate phase of ‘player power’ at the club.

Rashford, on top of having alot of credit for his charity work is now delivering on the pitch in a big way

So hard to choose out of Martinez and Casemiro. Martinez just edges it because he is a freaking warrior every single game. He has also done an amazing job of making the likes of Carragher and Merson look like the idiots they are.

So many players in this team could be in with a shout though.....it's been a long time since I've been able to think that. Feels like the old times trying to pick a favourite out of the 99 or 08 teams.

Ir order of favourtism:

1-.Casemiro
2-. Licha
3-. Rashford
4-. Bruno
5-. Shaw
6-. Varane

then the rest in no particular order but Maguire being absolute last.

Martinez got that DAWG in him. But Casemiro is daddy.

Very interesting to note how much Brunos popularity have faded as well

It's such a tight call between Licha and Case. My favourite players at United in the past have always been intelligent midfielders, but I have missed having a warrior in our team, and Licha definitely brought something that the squad has lacked for a long time.

Casemiro. The No.6 was the position we were crying out for, and he's nailed it. Such a joy to watch

i think we were crying out for a CB in the mould of Lisandro just as much. Look at who we’ve had playing LCB the last while… it doesn’t make for great reading.

I initially thought Licha but remembered Casemiro so picked him. It could honestly be either, I love them both and they're such a refreshing change at this club, two of the very best and absolute love being at Manchester United and they show it.

I still have a soft spot for DDG too after all the years of excellent service he's provided in the midst of utter shite in front of him and he's back to being brilliant again this year too. Rashy for his on and off the pitch stuff too.

Honestly the wonderful thing after the last decade but especially last season is that there are so many to choose from. All of them this year have become likeable, many you adore. What a change.

Oh I never expected De Gea or Dalot to get a lot of votes.

The top 3 was kind of predictable. I'm surprised that Shaw is more popular than Bruno, though.

It's not the proper thread to discuss this since this is a positive thread, but this does not surprise me. There are a fair few reasons for this (Re: Bruno, not Shaw specifically being more popular)

Bruno has been my favorite player since he signed. Always gives 110%, plays literally every game, has an insane goal contribution and is the true captain of the team. This season we are very fortunate to also have players like Casemiro, Martinez and Rashford who are playing in a way that has transformed the entire team. Bruno still gets my vote, but can understand people voting for many others!

Neither a fan of crowd mentality nor corporal punishment, but the two who voted for Martial need to be beaten up and taught a lesson unless it was a joke

I don't know any of them personally so I really cannot say.

Casemiro is probably our most important player and without him we become deer in the headlights, but the question was the favorite player, which is Licha at the moment.

Not only he is amazing on the ball, but his bravery and effort and intensity at which he plays really warms up to you.

Plus he is also very young and hopefully grow into an even better player. What a signing.

Surprised to see @Jeppers7 voting for B.Fernandes
I voted Martinez, he’s pure quality. The best ball playing CB I’ve seen at united and an absolute beast whilst also being an excellent defender.

When you’ve got players of the calibre and consistency of Casemiro, Varane and Rashford this season, then Martinez is doing exceptionally.

The weird thing with Bruno, is that I genuinely assess him like the others on my list, that he’s gone from being one of my three favourite players in the lockdown season to around a kind of middle of the road player is due to his performances the last two years and that he drops horrendous performances 1 in 3 games and has produced very few exceptional performances in the last 2 years (pro-rata) in my opinion. He’s still a good player but he’s been nowhere near the level of the above mentioned players, but has still been miles better than he was last season.

Why is this weird? Because when I look at his performance thread my ratings generally match up to the consensus game to game. There are posters who regardless of performances, not due to performances, would slate players for giving the ball away 3/4 times in a game….literally….where the common consensus was that the player had a great game. That would absolutely castigate a player for getting tackled anywhere on the pitch, when it led to a chance for the opposition and lynch them if it led to a goal…only to genuinely state that ‘anyone can make a mistake’ when Bruno does, and make no mistake in the last two seasons he’s made many leading to goals.

Have you ever @‘d the likes on NouCamp99, Pogue, AliDia and others, who’s opinion wasn’t performance based?

This forum can be like a bunch of playground bullies, literally people trying to force anyone who disagrees with general regard in terms of Caf favourites or who Caf hates are getting tagged into posts or having threads made about them. Yes I favour performances rather than narrative. Actual productivity over expected something.

 What a weird tag, why would anyone really vote for a player who has, at best, been our 7th best performer this season (DeGea, Shaw, Varane, Martinez, Casemiro, Rashford) and has middle of the road stats?

What does Bruno need to do to go higher up in my estimation? Just play better. Consistently. Nothing more. This time last year I was starting to think Rashford was maybe finished at United. His performances were terrible, he went from a player I loved to one that I thought was genuinely taking the piss with the way he was playing….now he’s gone back to being the last player I’d want to see us sell, due to a combination of him coming through the ranks, what he’s done off the pitch and most importantly what he’s doing on it.

How dare anyone go against the accepted narrative on here, we have ways of dealing with them (mods included) Strange place really !

Got to be Martinez, like Roy Keane said he takes real pride in his defending. He goes out there determined that nobody will beat him.

Feels like Vidic in that we've found a warrior out of nowhere.

Rashford is my favourite. One of our own and a brilliant human being. Hope he stays for a long long time.

Casemiro because he's Casemiro but I voted Licha because I respect how he proved every single critic wrong + he got that dawg in him.

remember the poll is who your favourite player is, not who has been the best performer. They can be mutually exclusive.

Got my vote as well.
A true leader, doesn’t wear the armband but leads by example.

I was having a laugh ffs

Voted for Bruno, but him and Martínez for me. Rashford and Casemiro follow

Martinez for me. I just love everything about him.

Bruno a close second.

Casemiro - the guy is a natural born winner, most irreplaceable, singlehandedly transforms us, great personality, ambitious since he came here to challenge himself and create something new rather than go through the motions in Spain.

My fav player was carrick and I haven't been able to properly replace him so far but this guy is making a claim.

Lissandro is really closing the gap on Cas over the last day on ths poll. I voted Cas for his impact but yes its very close.

Got to be Martinez, like Roy Keane said he takes real pride in his defending. He goes out there determined that nobody will beat him.

Yeah. You could definitely argue Casemiro has had a bigger impact, or is a better player but that’s by the by in a popularity contest. Martinez ahead of him for me because he’s such a fecking animal. Also bonus points for being so good despite not being physically suited for his position (5’ 9” CB)

Love Case, love Martinez. Their attitude has been transformative for us this season. I've also got a lot of time for every player on that list.

But Rashford, being an academy product, having helped school children, and turning it around after the poor form and insane amounts of unjustified abuse... he gets my vote

The team is very likeable, but Rash got my vote. Academy lad, turned everything around to become a massive player, charity work, lots to like. Casemiro and Licha are obviously up there.

Bruno, hasn't slid down my rankings much to be honest. Still love the guy. Think he's such an important player for us, despite his goalscoring going off the boil. He seems to love the club, and I love how much of an irritating little knob he is to other teams and their fans.

Also have a lot of love for Fred. From genius to madness in seconds, turns up for the team and has a lovely smile. Great team at the minute with so many likeable characters.
