Hahaha King Case!! I love it.

I thought Martinez and Rashy would get more love to be honest.

I feel like Varane doesn't get as much love because he's not the shiny new toy; but my god...I have never seen CB with better positioning in all my years on this earth. He makes everyone around him better because he's literally always in the right place, meaning everyone around him never even have to think about backing him up. Thats massive.

On top of that he clearly loves the club and the fans and has always been the pinnacle of positivity...even after (and during) his first season was one of the most miserable seasons in our history. He's honestly the first name I look for on starting sheet, which surprises even me...he's my favorite...with Case and Lisandro a close second and third.

Casemiro
Martinez
Rashford
Shaw
Bruno
Varane

Casemiro sealed it with his firing up the crowd after shepherding the ball out at the weekend. fecking ace. His bollocking of Bruno cracked me up as well.

Oh and he's incredible footballer who has transformed our team. That helps too.

Martinez not far behind, I'm fairly confident he will be seen as one of the greatest players in the world in a couple of years. He's had a similar transformative effect on the team with his classy passing out from the back and assuredness in defence.

He's just as intense as Casa but in a less showy manner. Somehow manages to balance being in control with also seeming like he could murder at any point. Bit like Stam.

Shout out for Luke Shaw as well. It's impressive how much he's grown up these past few years and his comeback from a horror injury and associated mental trauma (he was told at one point by doctors his leg may have to be amputated) while repeatedly being thrown under the bus by Mourinho is very inspiring. Always tells it like it is in interviews too which I like.

Bruno is just class and gets way too much criticism from our own fans, but you almost take him for granted these days.

Rashford obviously, if he can keep up his performances of this season and not revert to what we saw in the previous couple of seasons.

Thankfully it's a tough choice, which hasn't been the case for a while. It's hard to choose between Martinez, Casemiro, Varane and Rashford. Bruno and Shaw just a bit below. I go with Varane. In terms of importance I'd say it's Casemiro by some distance and then Rashford.

De Gea is a United legend. Rashford is a great local lad. Varane is so cool and composed. Martinez has the heart of a lion. Bruno is a freak of nature. Casemiro is world class and really likeable on top of this.

Impossible choice.
This

These are my favs because they're warriors. We have more of them in the squad, but these players really represent what United stands for.

1. Bruno
2. Rashford
3. Licha
4. Casemiro
5. Antony

The difference ETH has made to the overall likeability of our team. Previously, we had a thoroughly dislikeable team that the rivals loved, and now, we have a thoroughly loveable team that the rivals despise. You love to see it.

Hard work and putting in 100% will give you results and the fans will love you for it either way. Then the results come and the players react by doing the same thing. It's a snowball effect. Before it was the opposite.

What’s scary is if Maguire’s name was on there he’d have more votes than some of them on there based on his minority fan base here. :nervous:

Martinez and Casemiro. Absolute ballers the both of them. Long may this continue.

EDIT: Also Bruno. Love that guy. United legend in the making if he gets United to more trophies.

Crazy that so many are genuine options now. I wouldn't have been bothered if any of them had been sold a year ago. Credit to the lads for turning it around.

I went for Rashford as he's a local lad and I'm delighted he's showing his true abilities this season.

But in honesty, it's hard to choose between him, Casemiro, Martinez and Bruno.

What a turnaround though! To think last season, this question would have essentially been "who do we dislike the least".

It’s really not rocket science.
Ask Liverpool fans last season and they would pick their entire team as likeable.
Ask them now and there won’t be many options despite some of the same players still being there who have actually won a PL and CL with them.

Sorry to puncture your unnecessary and avoidable misery bubble but 'someone else' has one vote.

Aye, proper scary. Incredible how some posters can bring their dislike of Maguire into any thread when no-one has said anything about him.

We should do that for the redemption players: Shaw, AWB, Dalot, Rashford. Maybe Fred too.

I'm a big fan of all of our players, and I've really taken a liking to our new players, especially Martinez, but my favourite player is Rashford.

WW - Looks like he's won a competition to run out at OT and is loving it!

Yeah turns out not so much. Can't say I'm surprised.

Oh I never expected De Gea or Dalot to get a lot of votes.

The top 3 was kind of predictable. I'm surprised that Shaw is more popular than Bruno, though.

Casemiro for me.

It's refreshing having to think hard about this because there a quite a few players that I really like.
Last couple of years you'd have to base your vote on who's the least annoying.

I've gone for Bruno. The likes of Casemiro and Varane possess the title winning mentality that they picked up in Real, but Bruno has shown the same while playing for a team that has never come close to winning anything significant. He doesn't possess the world class consistency of those two and that's why he gets a bad rap among our fan base-some understandable, a lot unjustifiable.

Another thing that puts Bruno over the others is how quickly he has adapted to the leadership position put on him. I saw him giving advice to Sancho on the pitch at half time of one of the games and he was hugging and kissing Sancho during the selfie celebration. He hasn't shown any ego towards Maguire either, giving him the armband every time he is substituted in. He is a true team player and has earned the armband and the manager's trust.

Out of your team I’d take Luke Shaw first, we need a left back and throughout his career with the ups and downs, I’ve always thought he was a class player.

He suffered after his leg break and was treated appallingly by Mou but I’ve always liked him.

Fair enouh.

On the second point you're talking 17 people to 16 though. I'm not sure it's really a big enough sample size or difference to really say one is more popular than the other and Bruno does divide opinion a fair bit on here.

I pretty much hated the team last year for seemingly giving zero fecks and making me miserable every time we played. Extraordinary the turnaround, team has a connect with the fans as good as anyone in the league now and players are all likable and giving it their absolute all every game. Favourite player is Lisandro Martinez. Don't think I've ever adored a player as quick
