Not watched for a while until this WC, but still followed it, I am not a huge fan of Ronnie, yes he is an exceptional player.
I dont think he is the best I have seen, Higgins was better for me, the original Higgins.

Good chance for Judd to take the opening frame, excellent plant to get the break going.
More entertaining, possibly but that’s subjective and I’m sure Ronnie could pull off all of the shots Higgins did, he’s just more professional. There’s no way he was better than Ronnie though. They’re both mavericks but Ronnie’s game is stronger in every single facet.

Just like in every sport, who is the best is all down to personal choice.
Higgins was when I watched Snooker all the time, he was a maverick and took no shit, very much like Ronnie.
Is he better in every single way, not sure I would agree, but having not really watched for a while, I am not in a real position to say, I enjoy watching Ronnie, in the way I enjoyed watching Higgins.
Watching this WC , has certainly wanting me to watch more snooker and start playing again.
I love that Judd went for that plant in the first frame. Should be a great final if Ronnie is on it too.
I get that, Higgins was amazing to watch (I've seen plenty of vids). It's not really a comparison that is easy to make though, as snooker is a much different game now.

I struggle to watch O’Sullivan because I find the sycophancy over every shot he plays nauseating.
Laser focused right now. Just a joy to watch. I don’t like Trump one bit but you couldn’t ask for a better final pairing.

Why can't they just invent some sort of laser system which can pin point where the balls were. It would stop all this awkward repositioning and using the TV monitor which clearly isn't an efficient way to do it.

Technically nothing wrong but his attitude towards refs is horrible in my opinion. No other player in the sport acts like him in that respect. Even mild mannered Dennis Taylor was close to calling him a dick just then. Alot of snooker fans worship him though.

The two best players are putting on a show, and all you can do is bitch and moan about a player rightfully wanting the ball in the right place in the biggest final just because it's Ronnie.
He’s in the final of the world champs, he had the finest edge to play with and from experience knew it could take a few goes and correctly predicted that it was going to be in the wrong place so wanted the referee to acknowledge he could hit the ball. When the referee was dismissive he made sure Trump agreed that he could see it so there’s no argument when it’s respotted.
The referee didn’t handle it well, he was dismissive and when respotting he was more interested in making the shot difficult for Ronnie than ensuring he could hit the ball as was previously agreed.
Whether he could just clip it or whether he could hit a thick edge didn’t make a difference with the angle he was trying to produce so the referee should have kept the match moving and given him an angle to play with.
The graphic showed the final position he left Ronnie playing in was still a way off it’s actual position which is why the second referee told him to pick the ball up and start again.
