Redcafe Snooker

He's the only one left I don't want to win it

Lisowski gonna be having nightmares about that red.

Left himself too high on it. Especially poor, because it was his 2nd go at getting perfect position on it and he got lucky with the red to the middle being available

Lisowski cacks himself on cue.

3/4 of your semifinalists for the World Championships are O'Sullivan, Williams and Higgins here in 1992 + 30.

I like Higgins personally one of the all time greats.

He deserves an extra world title for the quality of player he's been but don't think he has the bottle or concentration anymore. Coin flip between the other three, may the best player win.

What a strange situation to have all 3 of the old boys make the semifinal. What is even weirder is that Judd has made it after having a really average season following 3 incredible years. Ronnie I think actually struggles a bit against Higgins recently but If he starts well then he should beat Higgins. Would be amazing to have him in the final again

Chosen snooker over football all week and will be doing so again this evening even though United are playing. Whos with me!? Quite incredible Ronnie, Williams and Higgins are still this good after 30 years. All 3 are in the top 5 of all time in my opinion.

I'm supporting Williams. Such a slick operator round the table and can move on from adversity without a second thought

Are there any websites that show the Snooker fixtures and times? I find it so hard to keep up. BBC is useless for snooker

I really want Ronnie to win. He’s the GOAT and I want the stats to reflect it.

While it’s great on one hand, especially as a Ronnie fan, snooker really could do with a few young superstars come in and shake things up.

As much as I love to see it, it can't be good for the sport that Williams, Higgins and O'Sullivan occupy 3 of the 4 semi-final positions with Trump not being a young lad either.

Is the future of the sport in dire straits? Was there not meant to be a group of young Chinese players coming in and taking over?

For selfish reasons anyway seeing these familiar faces on my screen makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I love snooker on the bbc but is it just me or does it seem ever more cringeworthy at times this year?

crucible this crucible that, iconic crucible, fantastic arena at the crucible, what a venue at the crucible. Get over it lads, it’s a room with a snooker table in it.

it’s not even just that, it’s the need to call everything brilliant. Dennis Taylor literally ever single match calls the referee very good, one of the best etc.

I feel like they've always done that. Also, every frame is massive. First frame of a session, this is massive! Frame after losing the previous frame, massive! Last frame before the mid-session interval, massive! Random frame where the scoring is low and the balls are awkward, now this frame has suddenly become huge! They're all falling over themselves to call everything brilliant, huge, massively important, etc.

Acrually is so tiny inside. Went to a final a few years ago and couldn’t believe how small it was. God knows what it is like with the 2 tables and the partition up.

I have not watch Snooker for years but enjoying watching it.
Last time I seriously watched, was when Davies was at his prime.
The Davies v Taylor Final was one of my favourite moments, along with Cliff Thorburn's first Crucible 147 on TV.

Unconsciouss play by Ronnie to close the session

If we are 12-8 at the mid session interval who knows.

Gut feel is Trump just striking it to well though.
