Group A - 3 teams
Group B - 3 teams
Group C - 4 teams

Total matches in group stage- 12

2 matches a day to vote for - 6 days to finish the group stage

Group winners = 3 semi finalists
The 4th semi finalist from a play off match between the two second placed teams with most points or PD. If you want more matches, you can take second placed teams from 3 groups and the third placed one from C. And then do 3 matches to decide the 4th semi finalist among them

I prefer group thing since picking this time over a week or more and then getting knocked out in first round is pretty harsh. This will give people at least two match ups.

I like this. It looks good. Gives people atleast 2 match ups.

The lucky loser won't come into play since there are 13 teams and hence there will be a Group D as well.

Group C looks a tad unfair. 4 teams and 1 winner?
 
Great. nm PM'd me his pick as Harbhajan and disappeared saying he won't be online for his turn. I replied back in 2 minutes saying Harbhajan is used but he had gone already.

I only remember him from 96 WC to be fair. He was also in those Pepsi ads at that time IIRC. I was born in 85.

I barely remember him playing in the World Cup. Just googled why and found out he got injured in the group games. Poor chap missed out on the Cup and retired immediately after.

McGrath more than ably took over as strike bowler anyway so the Aussies barely noticed. Beginning of a golden era for them.
