Gaming Red Dead Redemption 2 (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia)

Glad they're going back some years. It did feel a little advanced at times compared to how the 'Wild West' is in my head.

A bigger map would have been welcome if that is the actual map, I'd also like to see more career related quests, they never really made the most of being able to skin animals and hearding cattle.

Yeah, a bit more depth in that regard, some RPG elements without going too far, would be really nice. I always think plenty of character design choices (clothing etc.) adds a charm too.

I hope they have lots more random events going on as well as a lot more genuine interactions out and about, with your character and without.

I never really enjoy mini games. Not in the original Red Dead Redemption, not in GTA V, not in San Andreas. I think they end up being over complicated, and a bad version of a full game.

The thing that separates a good mini game from a bad mini game is the time it takes when you aren't playing. Did I want to spend 30 seconds seeing Trevor celebrate every time he wins a point in tennis? No.

Actually I did quite like Liars Dice in RDR

Poker sidequests would be fun.

Didn't they have it? Or was it blackjack?

Yeah I agree with most minigames. Always pretty dull or clunky. Sidequests and other stuff to do though, gimme loads of that.

Huh? RDR is the best game R* have ever done, and one of my favourite games of all time.

I think many share my view.
I can see why people would love it, however for me it started to drag quite a bit in the second half.

That being said open world games may just not be my cup of tea.

I agree, I played it the day before release (Game preorders:D). No day 1 patch malarky that happens with every fecking game now. Yet it worked perfectly for me.

Obviously it's 6 years old, so it won't be able to contend with say witcher 3.
Red dead 2 on the other hand! if its half as good as witcher 3, I'm content.

Have you played Witcher 3?

In terms of the map, i think it's hard to tell, is it even genuine?
Could be fan made?

Also what's the mini map thing at the top?
Could it be different regions that open up as you progress?

I'd put it second or third but its such a great game. The Zombie version was great too.

How much of a kick in the balls would a remaster be? this gen should be called the remaster gen.

Knowing Rockstar it's probably 18 months away from release.

The story was a bit shit once you went south. But I could still play it for hours if my Xbox was still hooked up...

I'd like a remaster :wenger:

It really is time Rockstar released something new so hopefully it's a totally new Red Dead. Does not need a remaster and please don't be GTA Online DLC :(

Been 3 years since GTA came out. Proper slow at releasing games these days

PS2 era - 3 GTA + Bully
PS3 - 2 GTA + Red Dead
PS4 - Nothing

As if they'd put out a tease like that for a remaster or DLC for GTA.

I expect a video on Tuesday. Dis gon be good.

I love Rockstar and how they tease new games. Kings of hype.

That red tweet HAS to mean another RDR. If it's a remaster, they better have added some gameplay depth, akin to the kind we saw in GTA5. A sequel/prequel would be absolutely bloody ace!

Better not be a remaster. I've had it up to here with those.
