My pick as well.

Chelsea
Liverpool
Tottenham
Arsenal
Everton
Leicester
West Ham
Middlesbrough
Southampton
Stoke
Swansea
Palace
West Brom
Watford

These picks are fairly predictable. I wonder how many people had Leicester in their top half last year, let alone winning the league.

Despite the hype about "anyone can beat anyone" the Prem has been pretty predictable when it comes to the top 4 with very few exceptions. I think it's most interesting to see who people predict will be mid table and who will go down.

Only when it comes to City and Arsenal.

Chelski have finished outside top 4 twice in the last 5 years, and United twice in last 3 years. That's 4 exceptions in 5 years when it comes to clubs with the largest incomes.

I was looking out for your post, and it's quite interesting on 2 levels .
Firstly that you believe you'll come above United and Chelsea, as if you've completely written off the massive impact of the new management, and classy signings, not to mention the max points starts of both (although I appreciate that is just 3 games)#

But then you still think you'll come under Arsenal

As for me, it never ends well trying to predict place by place, so forgive me amending it to zones...
  • Champs From United, City or Chelsea
  • 4th From Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool
  • Competing for 7th-10th Everton,Leicester,West Ham, Southampton
  • Dogfight Any 3 from 10

You're counting your chickens well before they hatch. This "massive impact" has to be shown over the course of 38 games, not 3 pretty easy fixtures. Spurs have already played Everton and Liverpool - both of which are stronger than any opposition yet faced by United or Chelsea.

As for Arsenal, did they not finish ahead of United, Chelsea and Spurs last season?

Yes, but like you're always very keen to point out, how things were, isn't necessarily how things will be going forward.

Leicester finished above everyone last year, and have only lost one of their key men, yet no one is tipping them to even be top 5 this season.

I get that you're super pro Spurs, very one eyed, yet still can't be confident of coming ahead of an Arsenal team who surely have their highest chance ever of missing top 4.

If I were you I'd keep on your focus on United's hopes of re-establishing themselves as a top 4 team, rather than talking about their "massive impact" as if it's established fact and wondering where Spurs might finish in relation to Arsenal.

1. United
2. Chelsea
3. City
4. Arsenal
5. Spurs
6. Liverpool

Rest I don't know

Who was it that made a thread like this last year and said he'd pay whoever won £100 (or something similar)?

Don't worry, I always get predictions wrong - the top two are there partly to curse them

I think we will just beat city to the title as i think we just have the more settled team, and i don't think pep has the full backs to play his system, and he needs back up for Augero, but think if De Bruyne and Augero stay fit they will run us very close.

I think the top four is obvious, the only thing i can see upsetting it is if Wenger announces his retirement then i can see Arsenal crumbling and spurs finishing 4th (if they manage to put the end of last season behind them) but if wenger signs a new contract, then arsenal will do their usual rick of been up and down, but finishing top 4.

I can't see Liverpool getting top 4 they have a mid table level squad, but and excellent manager so i think about 7th, and Everton will finish higher because they have a better squad and a very good manager.

I expext a good season from Stoke, they have a good manager and a very goof first team, so think they may scrape ahead of Leicester who i think may struggle to repeat last years heroics in the league, but think they may have a semi decent run in the champions league.

Whose gonna get relegated is hard, i look at Palace's squad and think they should be absolutely fine, but with Padrew as manager i can see them going down, but if they replace him quick enough and get a manager in who can lift their mid table level squad i think they maybe ok. Equally i think Sunderland keep Defoe fit they may just stay up, but if Defoe loses form or gets injured they are going down, and i doubt Moyes will be the manager by the end of January. And if Palace keep Padrew too long or they get in a replacement who can't lift the squad and Defoe doesn't deliver for sunderland then i can maybe see Burnley or Hull scraping 17th. But i'll just give it to Palace staying up because they have by far the best squad out of the 4.

Fair and balanced.

Somehow Arsenal finishing in 5th instead of sixth would be more comical as I can only imagine the agony of their fans wondering whether that'll be enough to be rid of Wenger.

... kind of like us with LVG last year

I've a sneaky feeling we'll be more than good for top 4 :)
