Some classics. Quick question about Skylarking, is the song "making plans for nigel" on it? it's a good song but i honestly don't think i've heard another song by XTC in my life.

I'd also like to take this opertunity to recommend the Wierd Science Soundtrack ;)

First track on Drums and Wires. Their second or third album I believe, early either way. Good tune. But Skylarking is a completely different animal, Todd Rundgren produced. It's 80's. But it's poppy as hell. Fantastic stuff. English Settlement is also great from start to finish. Andy Partridge is a really brilliant songwriter. They put out tons of records including one undercover release posing as a psychedelic 60's band by the alias of 'Dukes of Stratosphere'. Hilarious. But what's wild is the quality of the loopy songs.

Most of the good ones have already been mentioned, a few newer albums I'd throw in would be...

Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes
TV on The Radio - Dear Science
Alberta Cross - The Thief and The Heartbreaker
