If I had it now I'd use it. One player I'm desperate for and can't see how I could get him next round. It's the equivalent of a protect card if you can be arsed do the legwork of which targets of yours can be attained where.
 
@Edgar Allan Pillow thats harsh on @RedTiger , its his first pick and maybe he was building around him for 10 rounds now....you cant remove his player just because you fecked up. Keep the rule as it is, 6 clubs instead of 7+....

Sorry, where did I feck up? Read that box criteria and tell me what is not clear there. I can't really help if some ignore the actual box criteria and just take the expanded clarification out of context.

I know it's harsh but I don't see any other way. Couple have asked me this same clarification over PM and I've told them to be guided by box. Will be incredibly harsh on them to let this be. Between a rock and hard place, here.

Can't see any upside for me playing it now. Would be a shot in the dark at best. Which it could be anyway, but at least I can prolong it, with a possible upside of some kind in mind.

Still no word on when the injury will be announced, mind, so waiting has its risks too.

I could end up shooting myself in the foot in R14 and have my best player snatched away in R15 for all anyone knows.

Anyway, I'll wait.

As I said before, there ain't no upside in these "Prizes" It's more of of "taking a small hit to land a roundhouse punch" kind of prize.

Seems a bit desperate, though. There's obviously no guarantee said player will be available to you the following round, and you could end up with a relative dud - or worse - in the actual restriction round.

You fecked up with the expanded clarification....i always go to that when i land on box + nobody reacted when Tiger picked Seedorf. Six or seven clubs does it really make such a big difference?

Think we had the same case with the EE draft and someone had to drop a player picked in the 3rd or 4th round due to the said player being born outside criteria countries.

You would have to be a fool to hurt yourself. You know your box so know the next 12 boxes and what you could conceivably go for.

But yeah, the easiest way is com0leting your team and screwing all those who dropped more players.

It does actually which is why I wasn't keen on crying bloody murder either. It was such a clear and specific statement from RT I took it as the rule thereafter.

Agree with you it is well harsh and don't see the problem in switching to 6 or more.

No. One, I've already clarified this to couple of other managers via PM and it'd be hars for them if I change this now and two, it dilutes that box and enables bigger pool.

As I said, I've offered RT a like for like replacement player and that should get this through.

The 6 in the clarification is superfluous and the source of confusion. It also had me double checking whether the 3 club was 3, 2 or 4 as we seemed to have a different understanding of "more than".

I read it both obviously but clarification is the more important as you get into details there so yes i pay more attention to what says there then on the table. Sorry but you fecked up, no point of denying it....you cant say 6 different clubs and then tell us just to ignore that part and read only what you want us to read.
 
Very interested to find out what is a like for like replacement for Seedorf. No kidding, very intrigued.

It's a great box anyway. I'd argue the downside of losing him is balanced by the upside of having a go now with the rest of the team in mind.

Personally I think @Edgar Allan Pillow description is spot on if you follow the criteria(far from worded poorly):

Box 09 says - Played for more than 6 clubs.

then there is the clarification not the actual criteria:

Box 09: Wanderer - Read box criteria first. 6 different club. Return to same club is not counted.

someone should have raised the alarm sooner tho, as that's 1st pick RT made and obviously top player, so hopefully he'll get a proper replacement.

Well as I said, it was supposed to be read together, so people get the context. The clarification was just to elaborate on how the 6 clubs mentioned in criteria will be counted.

Personally I still don't see it as a problem...but then if most players get confused, then it's best amended. I've edited that part already.
 
Why are we blocking the players? I picked Henry and Moby had picked Cole to find they were ineligible. Then later I managed to pick him again. But cole was picked by someone else.

This is what we did before. Why the change?

Greedy so and so, shut it or you'll have to replace Henry :lol:

1. Pools are huge

2. This is more than naming players or accidental wrong picks (can't penalise everyone for some fool picking wrong every time), it's a full blown page-long discussion over two players only bound to get more prickly if someone picks them up immediately after

3. Seedorf hasn't been available to several managers since R1. If they have their midfield sorted it's not quite right/fair on them that suddenly he is up for grabs. I'm not too fussed about Cafú, other than the recent revelation that many people assumed Bobby C was banned.

4. As a rule EAP always defaults to whatever restricts the pool more and you can't really argue with that in an All-Time draft.

Haha I was crestfallen after the Henry debacle and was glad I got a chance to reclaim him. At the very least RT and Ecstatic should have an option to get them again (though yeah it's unlikely given their stature). Anyway I can't pick any of them this round given I have the 3 leagues box
 
I'm not following this too closely but in the future all numerical criteria should be in the form of 5 or more - not more than 4. I'm pretty sure there's been issues with this sort of thing before. It's much more intuitive working with a number plus than plus a number.

Good point. At most 3 works better than less than 4.

Definitely. It's not just an issue here. When taking the kids out it's hard to work out whether they're still free or not on occasions. I've seen under 3 free and then 4 to 12 £6 - how much are 3 year olds?
 
That's brutal man, was his first pick too. Scrapping the pick a round or two later but this late is pretty harsh. No one spotted it then and it just went through, leave it at that.
