A tad outlandish, but enjoyable. Enjoyed the movies, but never would have known that this portrayal was a more true JR.
Looking like it. Works out quite well though over 8 episodes plus there are loads of books to do more seasons. Is the entire season based on one book?
Reacher's back story (books) has him leaving the army at 37, Alan Ritchson is 39 so the ages pretty much match up tbf. Remember this is book 1 set not long after he leaves the army.3 episodes in, and enjoying it so far. Yes, Reacher is ridiculous, but its still fun.
I do think he should have been played by an older actor though, not read the books, but he's crammed a lot into his life for a younger guy.

As a fan of the books i was a little apprehensive of the series especially after Cruise and the trailer but 5 episodes really enjoying it. Not my favourite Reacher book so hoping the series continues.
“Reacher set an alarm in his head for 7am”One thing that is missing from the books is his inner monologue.
Using One Shot as the first Reacher film was a huge mistake I thought.Reacher's back story (books) has him leaving the army at 37, Alan Ritchson is 39 so the ages pretty much match up tbf. Remember this is book 1 set not long after he leaves the army.

Yep, total cutie.Just finished binging it and thought it was pretty good. Couldn't really get into the Cruise movies because of the size thing. As a book reader there was too much dissonance going on. Reacher's whole thing is his imposing size. Anyways, started out 9/10 but the last 2 episodes were meh. Also, Willa Fitzgerald is
Scene at the end:
Anyone else expected more to it when that guy nearly bumps into him in the diner? Just watched it again and it seems to serve no purpose whatsoever. Could it set something up for the next series or am I just completely wrong?
*Edit* Just found out what it was about thought there was something about it.
Watched the first couple of episodes. Enjoying it so far.
Like someone said the whole Reacher inner monologue is missing.
Liking the Roscoe woman, although I'm sure she was black in the book?
Yeah I dunno if he's supposed to be like that in the book but brother Mouzone and the main guy in Green Book immediately sprung to mind. Hollywood has a weird obsession with putting well spoken black men in fancy suits and making them irritating.Finlay is annoying as well. Reminds of Brother Mouzone from The Wire.

The voice was deep. Like a rumble. Not a southern accent. He looked and sounded like a Boston banker, except he was black.
Fair, just seems so out of place. It's like to highlight that he's not from there they made him as uptight and up-spoken as possible.Wouldn’t put this one on solely on Hollywood.
I can’t remember if he was irritating but in the book he was essentially described as a black guy who talks and dresses like a Boston banker.
