Rayan Cherki

In fairness, Bruno is not exactly quick and has done just fine in the league. Cherki is the guy who'll be passing to the runners rather than getting on the end of them.
Exactly. Plus, while Cherki may not be the fastest player in a sprint, he's clearly very athletic and agile and has some explosiveness to him. Check out the feint, flick past the defender and cross he puts in at the 22 second mark of the highlights below. Or the run through the middle at 1:20 in the highlights @Martial'sEmergingSmile posted above, holding off defenders. Basically, he's not a burner or a powerhouse of a player, but he's hardly a weak or slow player. He's got plenty of physicality to play in the 10 role for us and I think he'd be devastating as the right sided 10 linking up with Amad as the RWB.

clearly they are looking at him due to his age profile and what he costs .....is it good value for the money?

given the current personnel, i don't see Delap as being a proper fit for two reasons. His lack of pace to stretch teams would be an issue and given who we play as the two inside 10's, his hold up play/ability doesn't help either simply bc the two inside 10's don't have the ability or pace to make runs past him as the threat in behind.

i do agree...you bring in a Cunha and/or Cherki then Delap could make sense price wise as you surround him with 2 guys who can make things happen on the ball but ability to get in behind as well.
Seems like that is the plan

He seems to be one of those typical high potential skillfull players that United always chose to not buy. Always happen with United because of the chit chat of attitude problems and too skillfull but not enough built to play in PL.

If we buy these players, at least fans can have something to see every match even if we lose rather than what we have been shown the last few years.

Im succumbed to the fact that we probably not going to compete in foreseeable future so might as well be like Arsenal play beautiful football.

Any team in this league would struggle after being run into the ground for 12 years. Need to be all over this deal if that figure is real of course

Looks like the kind of technical player we can use if he’s not expensive. Just hope he’s not another Sancho

we have been badly run, and it shows now the effects of it and it will continue with the politics at the owner level probably untill Galzer sell all their share.

Wtih Cherki, if the price around the quoted one, should be a very good punt. There is no this perfect players that we fans seems to think of, every players have their own problems and what we can do is to see if the pros is outweight the cons.

Seems to be decent player, him on the right , garnacho on the left seems to be great prospect ...

He does look class. Always looks like he had time on the ball.

Yeah he keeps the ball really well as well as looking dangerous in the final third. Think he’d be worth the punt at 20 ish million.

Extremely two footed, great one v one dribbler, chance creation stats sky high.

Bit chunky, not fast, and non existent defensively.

Juice is worth the squeeze if he really is up for a cheap price

Personally I think he’d be a bit of a gamble. Sancho looked silky at Dortmund too and he very much reminds me of that player

People see dribbling and they really dribble don't they?

Seems like the next Ansu Fatty

Even if he scores, his performances have been very underwhelming

He has been underwhelming over the two legs. Tolisso has looked like Lyon's best player, good job he's gone off.

He looks the ideal sort of signing to come up with 2 goals and 3 assists for us in a year and a half and then get sent on loan to Villarreal

Idk how people see what we have in attack then see Cherki and think he looks underwhelming.

Idk I guess people see football differently.

He's too good for United anyway, he will go to a far better team.

Got a lesson tonight on what it’s like to witness Football Heritage.

But fair play he played a lot better in this game.

4 key passes, 3 dribbles and a goal. He was better than last week but similar numbers - because he was quite good last week too. As we saw ourselves he's fast enough to play on a counter attack
