Is there any manager today that claims this is NOT his game? Football has morphed into some sort of cyborg wars now, but players like Cherki are exceptions if they can deliver on their talent. Nowadays, you’re never going to find a manager whose game isn’t that everyone needs to run non-stop and chase opposition for 90 mins, yet there will always be matchwinners that exceptions are made for. The challenge for Cherki is to be one of those players. He has the talent to be.

Oh not knocking his talent, just questioning whether he’s the right fit for us right now.

Think Amad is a bit more explosive physically, but Cherki is far more of a wizard as a creative passer.
