RAWK Goes Into Meltdown 23/24

Not liking the growing sense of sentimentality in this thread from United fans. Snap out of it!

It just comes across as embarrassing and small time when fans of any club moan about refs being against them specifically.

Refs are consistently inept across the league and for every team
That’s what I’m saying. I’ve actually never seen fans of any club ever who believed that the refs were for them

They were going to win the league that season anyway. Covid had no impact. But it is funny the only league they've won in the prem era they couldn't celebrate normally in front of fans and people's attention were elsewhere away from football.

Careful now

Nope, supported United over 30 years, just capable of empathy.

I still take delight in when they fail and hate it when they succeed but I still feel a bit bad for them about what happened in 19/20.
This has to be a wind up. Whilst the rest of us revelled in the fact their 30 year wait for massive celebrations was in front of an empty stadium, you were disappointed for them. I’ve heard it all now

Yup. Some Liverpool fan I know gloated on Facebook by calling us “Man Utd scum”. feck them. They were always going to win the league that season unfortunately as they had the title wrapped up well before COVID, but still, it will always come with an asterisk.

I struggle to recall any controversial decisions given against City. In fact, they seem to get an inordinate amount of controversial decisions in their favour the past number of seasons. Even as recently as the Grealish handball against Chelsea, completely and inexplicably ignored by VAR.

It’s glorious to see Salah and Klopp falling out, the 2 figures who most represent this “glory” era for Liverpool!   I wonder does this mean they are walking alone?

They have all the right sayings when it suits them :nervous:

I have been reading a bit of RAWK, mostly the Arsenal bits as I do here, and I can honestly say those people are completely demented.

There was the offside that wasn't given against us in the 2-1 win. That led to days of media hyperfocusing on it of course

The disallowed goal against Liverpool at the Etihad when they judged Allisson to have been fouled is the only one I can think of, I can think of loads that have gone their way though.

League mathematically gone now. Should we be expecting a spattering of delicious RAWK despair this evening? :)

I'm indifferent about it today. Feels like this League is becoming a bit of a farce and to be honest City is laughing at every club in it.

We as a club still have Fergie's greatest legacy: The club with most Premier League trophies in England. And I hope he doesn't ever have to see it toppled. So for now I'm good with City winning another PL, rather than Liverpool.

Nah im sacking it off. Been here since the start of the forum in 2002(?) ish but had enough now. Time to go with Klopp.
Be sad to see you go pal but can understand. Bit disillusioned with the whole game for a while. It’s mainly my kids that keep me interested.
Why does it take every referee 60 minutes to figure out that teams will dive against us to win set pieces? They all seem to fall for it until it gets too blatant. We are punished for staying on our feet and trying to play football while opponents are rewarded for time wasting and diving. Our players are mentally shot from going up against these refs and make costly mistakes because of it. Slot's biggest job will be keeping the players calm and concentrated and not let referees throw their decision making off.
The main thing I took out of tonight is that Jamie Carragher is a fecking freeloading prick. Id rather listen to Neville as at least he's got an excuse for knocking us down.

Carraghers made his pundit career as a celebrity Liverpool fan but he cant wait to dig into is the fecking leech.

Cpuldnt give a feck about what he done as a player

The decline has set in. It will be nice to see them regularly fight for Europa League places from next season. The 5th position is probably their average finishing position in the Premier League era.
Well done for five long years of glory!

This may sound shameless. But we have City and Madrid to thank for their 5 years of under-achieving, in England and Europe.

He has finished above United in only five of his nine seasons, and we've been absolutely awful that entire time. It's legitimately unimpressive.
In this day and age, people don't look at facts. It's all about "narratives" and context. Klopp is smart and charming, interviews well, aligns ideologically with most journalists and is at a club that has always been great about creating legends and myth about itself.

Just to make sure people don't misunderstand. I do think Klopp is a very good and capable manager. He's just not as great as many make him out to be.

He's repulsive, disrespectful and an utter cnut. I've no idea who you're describing there.

Nothing about their new manager to provide a little light relief?
What we want for the maximum meltdown is for them to start really well, hammering teams and playing glorious football and the confidence to build and build and then a complete collapse, followed by a complete club implosion, FSG sell, relegation looms and then Jurgen comes back and completely soils his reputation, taking them to new depths and they become like Newcastle were under Ashley, between the Championship and PL, an echo of a team who were once quite good, many years ago, and leads to the ultimate end goal; Gerrard's appointment as manager.
