Very good! And with a love like that
You know they must be mad
Steve McManaman had a bit of a meltdown on BT sport, repeatedly calling Rubin a 'poor side, with all due respect' and that 'Liverpool should be smashing them as they are a level above'.
Level above what, Steve? Your team are 10th in the league for a reason, pipe down.
Chelsea are 12th, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't beat Dynamo Kiev
We didn't beat Kiev though.Chelsea are 12th, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't beat Dynamo Kiev
I see Sakho is now the best CB in Europe (not joking, read his thread) after a game against European minnows. With 10 men. At home. That they failed to beat.
Righto then.
Apart from Kompany and maybe Terry is there a better central defender in the league?
"He's actually quite good that bloke isn't he."
Manc I was watching the game with today.
Also re: Sakho -
The old 'Manc mate' being used to justify an opinion again.
So let me get this right;
The general consensus on RAWK is that on current form Sakho is the best CB in the league and Clyne is the best RB, the Scousers on here too tell us plenty that Skrtel is "excellent" so that technically is a WC defence so, what on earth is going wrong?

I don't know about you, but I for one despise everyone I like. Its amazing the manage to hate "mancs" in general so much when they seemingly have so many of them as mates.
In their defence, at least they have a shot on goal!
We get to the edge of the box, shit ourselves (or Rooney thinks the ball is a stick of TNT and messes things up) and the ball somehow ends up back to Smalling, who is 50 yards away, despite the opposing keeper being asleep in his deck chair
Their 'shots on goal' have resulted in 12 goals in 13 matches. Our 'backpasses to Smalling who is 50 yards away' have resulted in 22 goals in 13 matches (excluding 7 goals in 2 matches vs Club Brugge). Including UCL qualification it is 29 in 15 matches.

blinding stuff VdG!
But but but... they shot on goal and we don't. LVG outTheir 'shots on goal' have resulted in 12 goals in 13 matches. I find the negativity in this thread astonishing, for one thing that was a more than decent performance last night, Liverpool did well and Rubin barely even got a sniff. A shitty goal aside they did nothing but sit deep and fall over. I always stress the value of proper criticism, not poorly considered knee jerkism.
I'm also surprised at some of the negativity around Can, I thought he tackled back well, got a player sent off by storming past him and also levelled the game with a goal.
There were problems; Lallana is daft if game, Milner is too pedestrian out wide and Allen was invisible. But there are hardly insurmountable and rectifiable in the short term. Mostly I was pleased with the formation, endeavour and performances of Moreno, Mignolet, Sahkkkko and, yes, Can.
I am currently looking thoughtful, rubbing my chin and nodding in appreciation when watching the side, rather than chin in hands looking glum, surely the best indicator of how things are progressing.
"I am currently looking thoughtful, rubbing my chin and nodding in appreciation when watching the side"full context here is dull, but did he not see the Rubin goal?
Hard to argue with that.

I was looking at their alternative league table thread...they take it really seriously too. Has to be one of the most bizarre topics over there! They make up manc mates, write poetry and invent their own premier league table with their own rules, what's next?

Chelsea fans reportedly very nervous about the Manchester derby tomorrow, as it may well determine what club they'll support from now on.
That's actually pretty funny.
I don't know what to say.. Gutted.
fecking gutted...
...Gutted we couldn't hang on.
Gutted
Gutted. What a Benteke header though.
RAWK is such a weird forum. Any poster who dares to criticise anything about the club or players is attacked from all sides ... either that or the thread gets locked.
It makes for completely artificial and wildly unbalanced discussion, dominated by the slavishly adoring who dismiss all else as heresy and commend each other for their insightful views.

Thumping win against the league minnows and guess who is back everyone?
RAWK said:Klopp and roll
Much has been said about our manager and his taste in music. This thread is for some rock and roll he may have not come across and might interest him Hope you are reading this, Sir.
Love this particular song, and came across this live version from a concert of theirs.
*Youtube video of Dire Straits playing 'Sultans of Swing'*
I am no expert on music, however if Klopp can get us playing to the tempo that begins to emanate at around 8 minutes and onwards, I think we will begin to see something special on the pitch.
Oh dear ... not this nonsense again. As ever, what am I supposed to be back from? Spurs are unbeaten since the opening league game. And if you're referring to the Anderlecht game, I commented on the loss.
But instead of silly and ill-informed poster-on-poster comments, why don't you talk about football? Just a suggestion.
Had we won last night we would be level on points with Arsenal. That just sounds crazy given how crap we have been
