RAWK Goes Into Meltdown 2015-16 Edition

Seems that RAWK does allow members to discuss whether the manager should be sacked. But not whether Rodgers - the actual, present manager - should be sacked. They appear to encourage people to discuss this issue in, say, theoretical rather than practical terms. It's a noble principle, actually. But also quite insane given they're a football forum. Well, of sorts, at least. They haven't changed the name to "Red And White Kop - The Leading Online Seminar On Liver Bird Related Poetry And Theoretic (Not Actual) Association Football" - yet.

Brendan's post match observations include the words ''conspiracy'' & ''hysteria''

Arsenal fan on RAWK

He'd keep Coquelin over Schweinsteiger, Carrick and Schneiderlin? Chortle. I'd even take Blind in DM over Coquelin, and he's 4th or 5th choice for that position now.

Darmian over Debuchy, Bellerin and Chambers. It's not even close.

I'd take Sanchez and Ox from them. Maybe Koscielny too, but I'm pleased with how Smalling and Blind are performing as a unit, I wouldn't want to break that up.

I love how yesterday it was all Rodgers is the spawn of satan and they are getting relegated etc. Now after a 3-2 home win against the mighty Villia, its all Rodgers has turned the corner, no reason why we can't get top 4, Sturridge is the best striker in the league and one of the best in the world, the worst Manc Utd side ever etc.

Its like clockwork with them, one deluded extreme to another.

It's been like that for ages, my account there I registered about 3.5yrs ago, I don't post, it's just handy to have the ability to jump to new posts in a thread without needing to remember the last one you read.

They seem to have shifted the blame from Rodgers to Sturridge's injury for their poor form. So don't they want him out anymore just because they narrowly beat a dreadful Villa side?

who's your star player, Rooney ? Mata ? Memphis ? Martial ? tell me who's gonna get you 15+ league goals. wheres the RVN, RVP, Ronaldo, Tevez, Saha, Berbatov and Rooney of old? both Sturridge and Benteke might for us, provided they get the games. you dont have one seeing how Rooney's playing of late.

even Arsenal have Walcott, Sanchez and Giroud who nobody would bet against getting 15 goals or so. your lot however, you should hope Martial, Memphis and Mata keep it up. unless you're banking on Young and Fellaini to get you one nil wins throughout the season.
That lot top of an average league less than 12 hours and they're finishing about Arsenal, bwahaha
Jesus they're shite, speaks volumes about the Premier League.
While not a terrible side, its hard to believe this lot are top. Just goes to show how the quality of the tops teams in the PL has dropped and/or quality of lower teams has increased. You can call it bitter or whatever, but the proof is in the pudding.
I'd be surprised if they finished out of the top 4, but even more surprised if they won the league. City and Arsenal are better sides and have better players. As do Chelsea, despite them not showing it. I reckon the very best they will finish is 3rd. Things might not be looking so rosy for them in a few weeks.

It's mind-boggling Man Utd are on top. Not surprised they beat poor Sunderland team, but them being on top is unexpected considering how poor they have been.

It's been a mind boggling start to the season, no one has impressed apart from Man city early on. It's all up for grabs now, really looking forward to play United next weekend, very confident we'll burst their mini bubble.

Arsenals attack is better for me, Giroud for all his faults is way better than current form Rooney. Mata is pretty damn good and Memphis and Martial show promise but Sanchez, Walcott, Ox and Ozil will outscore them this season im willing to bet.

I'm sure they're bitter about having missed out on Schneiderlin and Shaw despite having spent the last two summers shopping in Southampton.

Hold on, they have a Forum where people routinely get banned on a whim, but they didn't have a supply of new members coming through?

So they are going to end up with A@A and Jonno congratulating each other on how wonderful they are plus a load of mods threatening to ban them after every post they make. :wenger:

We will beat Arsenal, it won't be pretty but we will beat them.

It'll be the two of them giving each other tug jobs over "the worst Utd side evah" as we win titles and cups.

I've just read the last couple of pages of their post-match thread, a few of them admitting their defence was rubbish, but other than that they seem to have decided that all is well again now :wenger:
Just watched the match again and we played really well. 3-2 flattered Villa. Brendan should really hire a defensive specialist coach and just get out of the way. Imagine what this team can do if they can defend just a little bit better.

It's on like donkey kong....
Sturridge couldn't even run fast yet, nothing on him but a little bit of shake and bake and he gets 2 goals like that , worked up a nice little gift exchange program with Ings, a similar program with Couhtino.....nice.

If we dare to dream him and Benteke could crush people. This season.

I am not sure that this is really the case. I usually stick to United threads, but it doesn't look that the mods are power hungry tyrants who ban people for everything. As far as I have seen, the chances of gettin banned in RAWK are slightly bigger than getting banned on redcafe.

What I don't like is that threads get locked all the time, there are censures on what you can discuss and what not, and more importantly they call each other 'Manc' or 'bitter' if someone dares to make an objective post when it comes to United or Everton. Which in turns make almost all the posts for United being batshit crazy.

It's always a good sign of our progress when they start wheeling out the "league is weak/terrible United stuff.

Oh, and the fabricated Hillsborough chanting is back. Nothing says respect for the dead quite like using made up abuse of them as a tool to beat a team you don't like with.

We are in the midst of a slump in the Premier League, it's being reflected in the poor showing in Europe in general, that lot are fecking mince, mince, Liverpool aren't great either mind you, but then again haven't spent close to £300m in one calendar year either.

Think personally you (United) look a bang average team right now mate, only a matter of time before someone tears through that defence and shows it to be vastly overrated, you go behind early in a game and have to press to get back into it you then it will get exposed badly
I think it is possible Utd could win the league. Such is the poor standard of it at the moment. If De Gea keeps up his great form and they can keep scoring goals, as much as I don't like admitting it, they have an outside chance imo.
Meh. The league is a bit wank, as get shown repeatedly in Europe.

Fine margins, they were on the verge of a collapse before the Liverpool game.
you're lacking in firepower but have a solid goalie, slightly less so defense but strong midfield. our problem is the opposite, a lot of firepower but everything else is a tad
underwhelming (at best).

Cantona said:
You do realise only Watford, West Brom, Sunderland and Newcastle have scored less than you?
not the brightest are you. Benteke, Ings and Firmino all brought in since then and oh, who was that lad that scored a brace on his return yesterday ? yeah, firepower. i know the idea is to swap bantz on here between rival fans but just get it into your skull that yes, we have firepower.

Cantona getting under their skin
Cantona said:
We've scored 3 or more goals in 6 of our 11 games this season, and you've had trouble scoring goals for a long time now.
But i'm the one who is not so bright when discussing why you don't have firepower?
I'm backing my argument up with cold facts so why don't you make an argument other than "we've brought in some players and if they play well, keep fit and score, we've more firepower than United"

Cantona said:
we've shown we have more than Liverpool at the moment. The argument that our attack is weaker than yours is just ridiculous and the stats do not back it up.
actual facts are Benteke and Sturridge are proven goalscorers in the league, with two each already now, while Rooney looks past it (only a fanboy would claim otherwise). you've got Martial, Mata and Memphis as your goalscorers then with Young and Fellaini to compliment them. four midfielders, two youngsters, one microphone stand with elbows.

yeah, you're scoring goals at the moment, great stats mate, but do you think any of those abovementioned are gonna get 15+ league goals? simple question, better go dig up some more "cold facts"

"Cantona comes up with a killer quip on RAWK. Dances to the beat of his own genius. The genius of a Manchester United fan that spends his life on a Liverpool FC forum."

they have their wee nursery rhymes about Gerrard, and of course their grossly offensive and arrogant Ji Sung Park song about eating dog, in fact.......do they sing any songs about the corporation they supposedly 'follow'?

The only songs I hear are about Hillsborough and Liverpool, name one song they sing about themselves, just one, "yenitehd yenitehd yenitehd" doesn't really count.....does it?

Normally I just laugh at their delusional wittering, but that quote above is just feckin wrong, and extremely offensive. United have more chants and songs than most other teams in the league. Also, I was at the Liverpool match in December and there was ONE bloke singing a couple of nasty songs "you murder your own fans" and another one I can't remember, he was totally blanked and nobody sang along with him. He was also tutted at and received a few dodgy looks from disgusted United fans. I was pissed off because nobody would even chant along with the "You are a Scouser................" song.

They just can't help but make shit up and play the victim card at every given opportunity.

Don't concede and score goals to have a chance at winning the league? Now I've heard everything!

Rodgers sounds so bullish because he knows we`ve got a lot of quality in the squad - anyone can if they want to look at it objectively - and it`s only a matter of time before it all clicks and we start blowing teams away. We`ve seen the glimpses of it last two games.

We are in the midst of a slump in the Premier League, it's being reflected in the poor showing in Europe in general, that lot are fecking mince, mince, Liverpool aren't great either mind you, but then again haven't spent close to £300m in one calendar year either.

Yet the midtable teams have never been stronger, Arsenal have their best squad in years & City have the most quality in their squad in their 4 year history. Just because Liverpool and Chelsea are in a poor state, Arsenal are bottlers and City can't win in Europe why is the league getting abused?

You could argue England has failed in Europe recently but would it have made the difference if any team made the past 3 finals? Madrid, Barcalona & Bayern all having the one of the best squad in their and European history.

English football is totally different than European football and the cause of trouble in Europe is bad/inexperienced management. City have yet to get a proper Manager, Chelsea generally do well under Mourinho, United hadn't a hope with Moyes, Liverpool haven't a hope with BR & Wenger could never get his head around it (apart from their final they had the quality on many occasions to win it).

The league is better and harder than ever.

It's amazing what a penalty shootout win at home to Carlisle and a 3-2 victory at home to Tim Sherwood's Aston Villa does for your confidence.
