In general, they should just be playing the best football they can and hoping Can, Henderson, Coutinho, Firmino, Benteke can develop chemistry and they can buy a holding midfielder to go with that group.
Similarly, on D, I'd play Gomez at CB and let him get blooded in. Or at least start Sakho and see how he does. And that opens up LB for Moreno, who is also young and talented, even if he is weak and will go to pieces at time defensively.
They might finish 8th instead of 6th, but does that matter? I guess Chelsea being down gives them hope of the top 4, but I don't see it. Not without upgrading Mignolet, at least 1 (probably 2) defenders and finding someone better than Lucas to organize the team, pass the ball and break up attacks.
