RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

It will really hurt them tomorrow if we win and pass them in the table. After all the bile they had been spouting about our start to the season, it would be poetic justice.
It reminds me of under SAF where we would feck up at some point or go on a bad run etc and they would take the piss and predict our downfall but we almost always ended up having the last laugh. We will see tomorrow if Van Gaal can have the same effect with us.:)

This was an excellent post I thought, some people there do see the reality of what appears to be happening but they are in the minority:

Rodgers has to take the blame for this. He has so many flaws, he really has to step it up.
He fails at quite a couple of things:

- His transfer record. This is the biggest criticism. He spent an awful lot of money, a LOT. Then when you have so many average players you just think, what did you do with so much money.

Borini, Assaidi, Sahin, Alberto, Aspas, Cissokho, Moses, Mignolet. They have failed evidently. Mignolet is one to highlight. He never really improved, he’s a big risk having in the goal. He still makes so many mistakes dealing with crosses and corners, it is unbelievable.
Then we have: Allen, Lallana, Lovren, all decent players but massively overpaid.

His latest transfer window, he paid a lot of money for decent/average players.
Markovic, nowhere worth the amount we paid for him. While the fullbacks seem to be the only buys that are doing a good job. Balotelli, well, we all know what kind of player he is and clearly he doesn’t really complement a quick fluid attack.

His only success at transfers: Sturridge and Coutinho. They were both gambles and it paid off.
He overpays for talent. Just talent, and hopes the gamble pays off, that’s his transfer strategy. The downside to this, he massively overpays, time and time again.

- His inability to sort out the defence. This has been a big problem. Last season we conceded so many goals, we were lucky to have Suarez and Sturridge bailing us out every time. But right now Rodgers doesn’t have anyone to save him.

- The midfield is an area where something needs to happen. With all the money being spent this summer you would think he addresses it, but no. We have an ageing Gerrard who needs to be handled in a good way. Lucas hasn’t been the Lucas, since the injury he had. We keep being overruned in a lot of games. This season we see it. Last season we have seen it. But Rodgers just doesn’t do anything about it. No physical presence in there.

- Finally, the striker situation. Going into the season we only had Sturridge as the main striker with an ageing Lambert. Borini wasn’t wanted anymore. Rodgers panicked and bought Balotelli, again a gamble. Having spent so much money it is ubelievable we don’t have a striker which we can rely on, besides Sturridge.

The mentality of the RAWK posters is astonishing. Everyone is believing Rodgers. But he FAILS at what he is doing. When you say something negative you are the worst fan ever. You can only say how good LFC is and how good Rodgers is. But face the facts.
It’s never a good opportunity to write a critic post. Not after a win, because you are bitter and should enjoy the win. Not after a loss, because it is supposedly a knee jerk reaction.

The Treble.

We all know how deluded they are and maybe because that word is used so often towards their fans or RAWK in general that we forget its meaning. A find example of this is them having a merciless go at Rodgers the past 2 games when just last season he was Fergie, Pep and Mourinho combined. £ 117 million on mid table player and they're playing like a mid table team, coincidence?

"No guarantees in football, unless you support one of the Oligarch or Gulf slave owning tyrant scum clubs. In many ways, I think it adds to the experience, adds a little doubt, which makes it all the more fulfilling when things do go our way. I'd be bored shitless, having a team like City, Chelsea or Madrid, but each to their own I say. "

I love comments like this as this poster hasn't sat back and wondered what a Swansea or Burnley fan must think of his beloved Liverpool being able to spunk millions every summer..what does he think of that?

Sakho is fecking seriously shite mate.

Back our players blah di blah di blah, ban me or whatever. I try to refrain from slagging, I think I called Charlie out last. But this guy is a right chancer. Sakho, he really is crap. Not seen a worse defender since Traore.

Go on, I'm a bad fan, whatever, this lad has no positive quality whatsoever.

feck me, the penny is dropping about Europe's greatest center half.

Just realised that they have Everton next, A defeat there while we (Hopefully) beat Leicster and West Ham would send them over the edge

What a joy it is to get up in the morning completely unaware of the West Ham-Liverpool result only to find out about it and read through a couple of pages of RAWK reactions. Cheers, RAWK :)

RAWK, I'm sure this guy is not a legit RAWKite, must be a wum, probably one of ours, posting stuff like this is playing with fire.... Brilliant though.

I tried to warn you lot. All I got was abuse.

People's expectations were way too high going into the season. We lose to Everton next week and there will be carnage. I did my best.

You do not go through what we did last season and shrug it off and just bounce back. You do not lose a once in a lifetime player like Luis Suarez, shrug it off and just bounce back. There are psychological scars from last term that will take time to go away. There is a hangover that needs to be shrugged off, and that takes time.

You do not try to integrate 7 players into a team and not suffer any effects. Nor is the switch from a fast striker full movement to a static forward with physicality a simple process. Nor are the extra games from Europe going to go by un noticed.

The only thing I care about, as I've said all along, is that Brendan Rodgers be given a "free year", whatever happens. I hope to Christ the people that gave me abuse in the Summer for saying how hard this season was going to be will stand by Rodgers, despite their unrealistic expectations not being fulfilled

It's going to be a long hard season. The sooner all you lot accept that, the better.Infact this season so far reminds of that 'Boom bust cycle' by manc fans.

.We thought our team is good enough before starting the season and once season started the reality kicks in.

Edit.

I was talking about this.

Depressingly funny. Or self pity you can say.

It's amazing, my Scouse mate was telling me before the West Ham game that we (United) are in big trouble, we have big problems and was boasting about how Liverpool are fine and are a better team than us at the moment.

Safe to say he shut up quick smart.

Not sure if we can even challenge for Europa now, much less top 4.

Nice user name

Simple solution though

Having looked at the fixtures, if Rodgers and the team want to make amends for this poor start
we should be targeting to win the next ten games.

I reckon we'll come fifth. Could sneak 4th if team gel well and
some genuine world class signings are made in January.

I thought they already had lots of those.

This one is awake.

Yes...we got good money for him...but we lost the best striker in the world...and with the money we got for him we just bought just a bunch of mediocre players.

If the money is gone...if Suarez is gone...if we lost three games already... where is the bright side u r talking about?.

At the end we lost Luis plus the money we got paid for him

Dropping that picture into RAWK is hilarious.

We're a train wreck.

Toothless without Suarez and Sturridge and Gerrard looking old, slow and tired.

Balotelli looks unfit, unhappy and uninspired (I'll hold off saying uninterested) and our newcomers look currently incapable of providing leadership.

It probably starts at the back where Mignolet's performances seem to give our defence the yips.

Injuries have been crucial and our fixture list gives us no time to recover, gel or experiment.

Dread has replaced anticipation and noone is enjoying their football.

All told, a formula for disaster.

If I were BR, I'd pick my derby team (starting with Jones) and rest them all against Boro.

And hope we go out of the cup.

This is Roy Hodgson stuff, that's how shit we are at the moment.

All 3 of our central defenders were awful. They all have big flaws individually.

Our midfielders are not offering enough support as a 2nd line of defense.

When you have an out of form keeper as well, it's a perfect storm of defensive problems.

Seems like teams know exactly how to play us now.

Settle down everyone. I think everyone needs to remember that it's a 38 game season and we're only 5 games in. Anything could happen in the next 33 weeks and we don't want to burn ourselves out too early, there's so many more scouse feckups and meltdowns ahead, we need to start taking them in our stride. :D

This gon' be good.

Suarez has gone
The Suarez money has gone

From the same thread as "We. Are. Liverpool.

They. Are. Worried."

I reckon that majority of the opposition and their fans are banking on the fact that we are significantly weaker without Suarez. Its quite a valid stand, but I think we are going to prove all of them wrong. We have an extremely talented nucleus of young hungry players who are ridiculously arrogant (in a good way) and are definitely more hungry for success if we were to consider last season's shortcomings. Suarez wasn't even our most important player in our late surge for the title.

What's more important is that our manager, Brendan Rodgers has made us believe again. And its real this time, its very real. Players who believe, fans who believe. And that is key. feck whoever we face, we are Liverpool. Players who are confident on and off the ball, and a team that's arrogant on the pitch. Deal with it, they better because we're still climbing up that hill, we aint gonna stop.
