RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

I find the dumb responses of resident Liverpool fans on this forum in this thread more funnier than RAWK at times.

Rojo wasn't worth anymore than 10m IMO. Incredibly average player. Would look fine in the likes of Southampton or Aston Villa. Guess Man Ut are cementing themselves as a mid table force for years to come. Can't see any top tier players going there- Di maria, Vidal etc. Going to be a long season for them I think.

Writing such a statement after his massive club Liverpool just signed 3 players from Southampton. Right.

Oppo fans: Jones is average, a squadie, overhyped

SAF: Jones can be our best player ever.

Who will I believe? hmm.

They're not happy with the closer match-day involvement of the mascot. Zero utterance of the obvious thus far. though.

I hope so. He's not going to be our best player ever but there is still a lot of time for him to be one of the best defenders in the league.

Wrong thread for the discussion so I'll just be brief, but I personally reckon he'll be a great player for you as long as two things happen: he stays injury free and you stop mucking around with his position and give him an extended run at centre back. Think it harmed his development moving him about.

...now you can go back to laughing at RAWK ;)

You know their regular references to United supporting mates of theirs who coincidently only say things Liverpool fans like to hear? Well some Everton supporting mates have appeared...

Interesting that I had a few bluenoses over to mine to watch the game on Setanta on Saturday. Both said Lukaku is shite and has the worst first touch in football. So I watched him carefully throughout the game, and he does has a bad touch (not the worst as they claimed though).
Both bluenoses said they would of been better investing the £28m throughout the team.

They've paid £28m for the worst touch in football, what were Everton thinking?!?! Should've listened to their support.

FFS  those are the funniest.

"You know, had my united supporting mates over and they reckon Evra's a troublemaker and Suarez is innocent la..."

Tbf a lot of Everton supporters do criticize Lukaku for his first touch. Being Rawk though he exaggerates x100.

I remember Drogba's first season at Chelsea when he was drawing comparisons to Henry. They said Henry had pedigree after coming through the Clairefontaine academy while Drogba's education in Ligue 2 was evident in his first touch.

That soon changed.

Wasn't it on this forum that someone was arguing that technical skills couldn't be learnt past 22 or something

Sounds like Scholsey to me.

Forever in our hearts.

How are they taking the possible signing of Balotelli?
Will he suddenly become a world class prospect as opposed to the idiot they thought he was last week?

What does it mean? He is seeing us a stepping stone?

Who cares. You don't think Suarez saw us as a stepping stone, and Michael fecking Owen?

You have players who are super talented, and players who are super committed, getting both is extremely rare

Are they asking themselves the question - "Why is Milan letting a world class talent go for 16m?"

Tbf, if United signed him and sure there would be a massive divide in opinion on here about it.

The same could be said of Nani. ;)

And just like Nani, you have to really look hard for the world class games Balotelli has played since 2012. If it wasn't for his antics, who would even talk about him anymore?

To be honest, Liverpool's current standing means that elite strikers are tough to attract. Years outside the CL has meant Liverpool haven't got the same pulling power currently.

This means that Rodgers is looking at players who could step up despite not costing the earth. Sturridge is an obvious example of a player that wasn't universally rated but had potential in spades. Whatever your view on Mario, he has huge potential. If it works out then Liverpool won't miss Suarez hugely.

Never mind Malky Mackay & Mario Balotelli, over at RAWK the Mighty Red mascot controversy continues...

It's embarrassing is what it is. This is Anfield, not bloody Disneyland.

The fact that going to the game, hanging round outside the ground with a bag of chips or listening to auld bastards sing and tell stories in a stinking pub should be enough entertainment for a kid. If not, they should go to dance class or some other activity. I used to fecking love it, the buzz and excitement. I started going the game when I was 8 and if Mighty Red came up to me then and tried 'entertaining' me, the prick would have been given a kick in the sack.

Why a red pterodactyl though?

The c*nt should be put down.

Is he supposed to be a liver bird? Reminds me of that Admiral Ackbar from Star Wars.

I'm annoyed by this idea. My view on him is that he doesn't, in fact, have huge potential. He has a certain potential of course, but his attitude and immaturity has led to an easy narrative for fans and press to say 'he's potential world class but wasting it' and so on. I honestly don't believe he is, he scores some incredible goals now and again but he'll be at the very best a decent striker.

This is just my opinion, but I was annoyed by the wording of your sentence that was that everyone basically has to accept the guy has huge potential. It's pretty easy to argue otherwise.
