RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

I know. Very long time. I just laugh though when a newbie searches all night through RAWK pages and really doesn't come up with something that in any way resembles a " meltdown".
Anyway this season really will be seeing united and Lfc going at it for fourth. Nothing more nothing less
If you want to talk about football or certain clubs there are certain threads to post in please....Thank you.

They have plenty.

Name them.

Sadly my father is a Liverpool fan so I watch pretty much all their games with him (not at Anfield, though I've been for our games against them), they very rarely sing about us unless they're playing us.

Sadly we tend to sing the Murderers songs and that ilk a fair bit, despite not playing them. Really does my head in.

But that is the new breed of United fans. I don't recall songs like that being sung until the very late 90's.

As for Liverpool not singing about United, try looking at video's throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s, they not only sang about us at every game, they carried banners reflecting certain topics about United and p*ss take about trophy free zones ...etc. They were obsessed, even when they were winning everything.

Arsenal and Liverpool have better squads then Utd as well.
I'd say that Spurs do as well apart from the striker department. Evertons first XI also looks better and more solid back-to-front
Their summer has been pretty horrendous.
If Poyet goes with 4231 their high energy midfield will surely overrun United, it's just a matter of scoring that might hold them back.

If by some miracle they manage to win most of those early games though it'll only give them false hope which will come to an abrupt end around the 8th or 9th fixture when they start to meet the non-relegation-threatened sides for the first time.

They don't give Michael Owen much credit for winning all that silverware for them do they? MO has been saying naughty things apparently - ''I asked to rejoin LFC'' is a bit off, obv... but then again, if you've been subjected to his punditry for too long, you might want to take the harsh view.

An approximate/generous count says Liverpool Football Club have won 11 trophies since 1991 with Owen being there for 6 of them. Most of the 6 they wouldn't have got near without him. (158 goals in 297 games). <--- FACTS !!

After the moaning Moyes done at the fixture list last year (he actually accused the FA of fixing the fixture list which he got away with) there was no way Van Gaal wouldn't be given the chance to make the best start possible. That isn't me screaming 'CONSPIRACY' at the top of my voice, it's just how it is. Scudamore, don't forget, admitted that it was bad for the league that United were doing poorly last season.
Thirty million for a fat boy with a shite ham string
Its going well
I love it how their biggest and most marketable signing and future England LB has already become most widely known for being injury prone and an unfit fatty before even playing a single competitive game for them
And of course it didn't take too long to find a "manc friend" post
My United supporting mate has just text me saying that 'I think on paper we have the best attack in the league '. The mind boggles. Yes they have some good players there but best in the league
huh.gif

If we get them all back to their 2011/12 levels, that attack has the potential to possess the three best players in the league.

Okay, I'm joking. Kind of.

I know there's white text, but I actually agree. The thing is I don't think all three in the same team will reach those levels again.

Lambert:
But seriously this boy is a golden retriever. A majestic dog with massive heart, a true spiritual leader, that every scouser will grow to love for life. I think we should give this old man undieing support considering how much of a true leader he is going to be. Getting way to excited for the season!!

The thing is, if a player wants to come to England then United are currently 5th choice. After City (eg. Mangala), Chelsea (eg. Fabregas), Arsenal (eg. Sanchez), and ourselves have had first pickings the choices really whittle down to a few players. And even then the transfer fees and wages the selling clubs and players would demand from United - knowing full well that they have a hefty "war chest" to spend, and without CL footie on offer - the sums United would have to pay are outrageous.

Take Vidal for example - both the club as well as him and his agent know that he's hot property. They'll wait until the last minute when they know that United will be desperate and pay over the odds in both transfer fee and wages to get their man. But if City or ourselves get involved before then and offer acceptable wages (along with more attractive football and CL) United have little to no chance, unless of course they pay more ridiculous £150-200k salaries like they did with Shaw.

They're in between a rock and a hard place as they say, and time is running out

Because they are signing all the top overseas players! :wenger:

I like how he mentions examples for the other three clubs but not Liverpool.

Yeah okay, Vidal would choose Liverpool over United because Liverpool might play in the CL for 6 games and might not even be in it next season whilst selling the 3rd best player in the world showing a lack of ambition, okay then

It astonishes me that after the amount of PL titles we have won, Recent CL's amongst other trophies, World Class players to play for us Liverpool fans can turn around and say they are ahead of us in anything let alone the list of clubs players would rather go at the minute, we have "5th choice pickings" simply because after one dodgy season and our only ever season out of the UCL, where as they have not won a single PL, are only back in the CL after 4 consecutive seasons out, after finishing 7th last year themselves and have just sold their only world class player.

And also as someone else said, lol at them not mentioning an example of a top player coming to them in that list.

Herrera is better than any of the signings they have made this season.

lol.

Not from RAWK, but hilarious nonetheless. King Kenny believes if anybody finishes above Liverpool, they'll win the Premeir League.
Lol

"There is a curious kind of logic circulating about one of the contenders for the Premier League title.

It lies in the suggestion that because Liverpool had such a good season last season, they’re going to have a poor one this time.

I don’t understand that logic and I don’t agree with the reasons being used to try to shore it up."

What, reasons like the only two times you finished 2nd over the last decade you went on to have terrible seasons the next season and you just sold your only world class player / top scorer?

I too prefer the Rawk logic that says Liverpool improved by 5 places last season and therefore will almost certainly finish -4th place this season. Add on the -£15m that Andy Carrol cost and you get -19. The most powerful omen of all.

Maybe it's time to put this thread on the backburner like last season whilst you sort out your issues in the league.

Nah, you'll almost certainly finish ahead of us if we don't bring in some quality but I'm sure they'll still be some crackers from RAWK to look forward too ;)

20+ new pages in their thread about us.

I guess I should've expected it after we were disgraced by Swansea and they completely battered Soton. ;)

I'm off to reading now...
