The last two are rubbish posts but I do think the bit about Silva is true. Obviously te assists side of it is all speculation but he does have more strings to his bow. Coutinho is bloody brilliant and it pains me that he plays for them.

He is indeed a good player, but he has yet to achieve the level of Silva. Both excellent footballers.
It would have been better had he arrived, broke their hearts, then became the Italian Pele. Guess you can't have everything, though.

Certainly consistency wise and statistically he's not at Silva's level yet but he has the potential which is what they were saying. They were correct in saying he can play the same style as Silva but can also just ghost past several players and drive forward if they need him to which is something Silva will never be able to do.

I actually do think that Silva ghosts past players. I have seen it many times especially against us, even in his Valencia days.
I get where they are coming from, but like you say, he needs consistency to be at Silva's level. Also, it did take Silva a season to used to EPL, he wasn't brilliant day 1.
